Whats the deal with these?  How many of each were released?  Any info would be great?

  • not exactly sure, but from my understanding these would be from the VERY first run of NES games when the NES was first released. Also, FFF pad AW has a sticker seal
  • Do  you know if any of the variant collecters collect these boxes?
  • I have a FFF AW sticker sealed. image I have a couple black box games that aren't sealed but still have the sticker...or sticker marks. You selling or asking questions. image
  • I am just wondering because I saw one in the wild. Do the sticker marks say void? Which ones do you have?
  • Some of them say "void". Some say "Nintendo" on the sticker and some don't. To be honest, I don't remember which ones I have. I don't really keep track of them that way. They are all packed up in boxes right now. Which one(s) are you debating about?
  • Sticker sealed games that I know exist for certain:

Duck Hunt (came sticker sealed in some Deluxe sets)

Gyromite (came sticker sealed in some Deluxe sets)

    Ice Climber

    I'm sure there's more.
  • I also think -CAN BBs came sticker sealed. I'd be very interested image
  • Stack Up, Super Mario Bros and Tennis are ones that i used to own in my collection (had marks from the stickers.

A lot of CAN games came sticker sealed.  I think every black  box game, Tetris, Dr Mario, Final Fantasy, Rad Racer, Dragon Warrior ... just to name them off the top of my head.

A good majority of Euro releases came sticker sealed as well.  I own a F-Sealed Sticker seal wild gunman (with hangtab), dr mario and 4-player tennis.

  • The one I saw was an excite bike...what do you think it is worth?
  • was it sealed or was it opened? If opened it wouldn't be worth really anymore than a regular CIB ExciteBike, as finding that niche person that wants to pay for it it simply because it is that variant. Now a sealed one... that's a different story image
  • Unfortunatly it was not sealed.
  • I'm almost positive I have every single black box game with a sticker seal for USA, including Stack-up of course. There are two different kinds of sticker seals too. Kinda interesting one is more of a cloth/paper like material and the other is the more metallic that has VOID under it when you pull it up.

As far as I know every one of my black box -CAN are sticker sealed as well as DW, SMB 2, etc etc etc...

WOW, that is incredible.  Are they very hard to come by?
  • I can vouch for Erik on this as well -- I came across a stash of almost every black box game (from the same seller), all with seal and all US versions. It also had some previously-unverified hangtab boxes as well (this was about 2 years ago).

The GBR games also had sticker seals (ITA/AUS/GBR), and so did at least a few Korean games.
  • Yep Dain is right on there about PAL I have a ton of PAL stuff with sticker seals. It's funny cause it seems like these STASH/HOARD type things where someone comes out of the wood work with ssay 50 early NES games like the hiest of the century Batty and I pulled off last year, all of those were sticker seals and hang tabs on the non BB games as well. I think alot of people put them away like they do with the new rolls of quarters/whatever when they come out thinking they would be collectible. They were certainly right.
  • I just found the thread with the that heist you are referring to and I am at a loss of words
  • Can you link me.
  • ^Yeah, I remember that. Crazy, crazy stuff!
  • Here is my sticker sealed DH. There exists at least one Gyromite copy too.

  • Blarky, I just counted my -CAN stuff and of those 39 have sticker seals... including these 4 NEW/Sealed ones that I love... well I love 3 of them slightly more than the 4th but whatever!  image

  • holy crap! Very nice. I can take a guess as to which one is the bastard child image
  • Yeah I used to have Wild Gunman sealed as well but I traded that to Bronty.
  • That Bronty... he's always involved somehow! Because of him is how I ended up with this DH.
  • Well I traded him the Wild Gunman (and to this day it's still the only thing I've ever sold or traded out of my personal collection that I don't have) because Dan was so awesome in helping me with my collection. Off the top of my head I got 2/3 Panesians, Sealed Color A Dinosaur, Sealed Gun.Smoke, Matching # CIB Myriad, I think Sealed Cheetahmen II, and I'm sure others from him that all helped out. So he definetly deserves that honor! image Thanks again Dan!

*Edit* although I still regret that I was 3 hours and $500 away from picking up that gold NWC from him!  image

  • ...drool...
  • jesus. That score is incredible. Thanks for the link.
  • So were they still sealed? I couldn't see in the picture.
  • I don't believe they were but Batty or E will correct me if I'm wrong.
