I think there's a lot of people going for the Wii full set. I'm having kind of a hard time finding titles beneath the 5$ mark, in my area at least.
I'm unsure if they have gamestop in your area... but that place is a gold mine for sub $5 Wii games.
We have EB Games and Microplay. EB Games is basically like Gamestop. Microplay is a video game department of a video store chain called Videotron. They carry new and used games, from NES to current gen. Thankfully, they often have 2 for 1 sales and I can find some 5$ games, sometimes.
It's easy for you Americans, but it isn't the same for us Canadians.
That's not to say its a barren wasteland, but finding under $5 games at ebgames (the canadian branch of gamestop) just isn't as easy. ALot of our shovelware games are still $4.99, 7.99, 9.99 and above. On top of that, the deals (b1g1) aren't as common. I'd also imagine that there aren't as many games per ebgames as there are per gamestop in the US.
Got this today. Had been searching for one for awhile and glad I finally snagged one .
I have a copy of that game in the mail, took me forever to find. Where'd you come across your copy?
I was the first one that popped up on eBay a couple weeks ago (the poorer condition one). I randomly hit my followed search, saw it, and hit BIN within probably 30 seconds .

Oh yeah, I saw that one. The seller has had a couple others on ebay since. He knows the value and has been searching them out in Mexico.
^^Is that game any good? Funny all the rare exclusive shit is coming from Mexico. Could it be the game is only percieved rare because one cannot find it stateside? There may be thousands in circulation at Mexican swap meets...

I'm sure that's a huge factor. Regional releases are obviously harder to get in other regions. The F1 2009 Big Box was only released in Canada (IIRC) and only a few have trickled down here. Same thing with the Mexican games. Things will even out as things go on, but they will always be harder to find in the states.

I doubt thousands are at swap meets. It seems to be fairly rare even in Mexico. This game was suppose to come out on Wii here in the United States but was cancelled. The ps3 and Xbox 360 came out though and can be picked up for cheap.

The F1 big box is a truly rare item. I looked for a verrrrrrrry long time and when I finally found it, I had it shipped from Brazil. I believe the seller had honestly lived in Canada and had taken it with him, or some strange circumstances, possibly a family member in Canada sent it to him originally. I got that about 2 years ago and IIRC, saw maybe 1 other since then. It has French somewhere on it, maybe the game case, which is why I know it was not originally bought in Brazil.
Edit: Wow, did a search for "F1 wheel wii" and one is for sale for $300, albeit looks in poor condition. I used to check my saved search daily for a very long time before finding my copy.
Edit 2: Which reminds me, the disc/packaging for the actual game has some variations from the standard version that we got in USA, I know because I have both and did a side-by-side. So it's got the variant thing going for it too!

yep
Also, I don't doubt that the F1 2009 Big Box and the Mexican games are rare, but it's reasonable to assume that they are rarer in the US than in their country of original availability.
Daaaaaaaaaang, talk about tanking the market, Let's Sing is bottoming out on eBay, $35 for the big box version with sealed game with plenty more to sell after. Wow.

Warehouse finds confirmed? Because everyone needs more recalled Wii singalongs, with complementary free titties...
Moral of the story. When a market is this new (Wii being just last generation, still being sold in store and a game coming out next year) all speculation on rares should be taken as such and with a grain of salt. Buy it if you want the game for you collection. Don't buy two dozen thinking it's the stock market.
For sure, when was the last time something like this blew up? I can't recall such a quick boom and bust recently. It's entirely possible prices might inch back up but I' find it hard to believe they'll return to where they were, whoever was looking to snag this title has had ample opportunity.

Devil's Third Wii U. Probably around $100-$120 at release hype, more like $50 now.
For those who haven't realized how rarity goes, it goes in waves. Example, first it was Fritz Chess / Horse Gold, now those are fairly flat. Now Mensa is really hot. 2 / 3 years from now it'll be something else and those will level off somewhere. Happens on every platform, take NES for example, BB2 was the king at one point, then F2 and now its Samson (outside of SE). Then something else heats up.
So yes, 100% zero doubt in my mind, the highest prices of Let's Sing have already passed us. Especially on a turd game like Let's Sing. It'd be different if it was some crazy rare limited edition Fire Emblem or great platformer that had demand to gamers, but this clearly doesn't. Let's Sing was being bought to sit on a shelf and there are more than enough to go around for the full set Wii collectors.

Agreed on most points regarding the Lets Sing rise and fall. The problem is, there are just too many out there for such a small current market. I could see this as being one of those semi-rare titles with a history when Wii collecting peaks, but that's a long ways off at this point.
Agree about Devil's Third for Wii U. I didn't see it at the time but it's the total reality now. A few others I have seen that have had major price changes was Guardian Legend for NES - wasn't it always cheap and easy to find, then it got featured on some hidden gems videos on Youtube and then suddenly it skyrocketed like crazy. Just looked it up today and it's back down. Also, Caltron used to be expensive, then some were found, it got cheap, but it has slowly gone back up over the years. Let's Sing's biggest downfall is how many of the "recalled" copies have made it to re-sellers/liquidators hands. Possibly Maximum allowed this.
Regarding Devil's Third, I paid ~50 and I am cool w/ it. Since I pre-ordered Let's Sing, I am one of the few (anyone else at all?) who got it that way. I also found a 2nd copy at a GameStop after the recall for ~30. I'm totally cool with wherever these wacky recalls and one-offs go in the future - they're more of a conversation piece to me than anything else at this point; and in the case of Let's Sing, I needed it for my Wii collection set. I do wonder how people who paid 200-300 for Let's Sing now feel.
I almost pulled the trigger for a 90$ CAD Let's Sing 2016, game only. I'm glad I didn't. I don't think I can justify paying that much for that kind of game. I'm just bummed that I could not find it locally anywhere.
The seller said he had 21. So far, with his completed an active auctions, he has sold 19. That should mean he only has two left. Other than him, there is not a lot listed other than ones out of the states. Once those are gone, they're gone. Do you really think another large quantity is going to show up again? Even with his 21, I wouldn't expect there to be a lot out there.
The two player aspect of tengen tetris was neat but overall that game ismt as good as standard nintendo. Music is worse, for me its harder to visualize. I just dont like it

Blashemy! Music is better IMO with actual credits to the composers, and visuals are prettier. If I could criticize one thing with Tengen Tetris though, it's the levels lasting for thirty lines. A single game can last a very long time...
I think the Tengen version is better for casual Tetris fans, the Nintendo version for hardcore competitors.
Tengen Tetris soundtrack is boring. Nintendo Version is way better. Only track that is ok on tengen version is troika.
But nothing trumps song 3 on nes.
Also music A dance of the sugarplum fairy is good.
I dont know how this reputation got started on tengen being better. Other than 2 player its worse in every other aspect. Visually, Musically. My guess is it was deemed rare early on and was more expensive so people got brainwashed into thinking it was better. You have been brainwashed stardust.

Well agree to disagree. Sugarplum is good but overused. I have owned TT since 2004 and it is still my favorite version. It has gotten far more play time on my NES than the licensed version. Neither holds a candle to the GB version though.

The tengen tetris of wii
Flatline price because theirs too many. Deemed rare early on only to stay stagnate in price
Lets sing 2016
The tengen tetris of wii
Tengen Tetris was dope. I paid $40 for it in 2004 and it was totally worth it at the time. Only recently has the value climbed.
Sometimes the hype isn't a bad thing at all. Just Sing 2016 is no Diamond in the Rough from a gameplay perspective. It is not Tengen Tetris.
