Improving the 3-d effect in 3-d nes games

Any you feel that Rad Racer and 3-d Worldrunner, were never really 3-dish even with the original glasses?. I was revisiting this the other day I tried playing the changing some of the setting on my tv and the quality started to improve. Increasing the cyan and contrast helped a bit.

Was wondering if anyone on here has experimented with this, and has a formula for getting better 3-d, or even converting or playing the Japanese 3-d glasses somehow on a U.S system?

About one in ten people can't see stereoscopic 3D. Sure you aren't one of them? What glasses are you using? Sure they have the correct colors for the correct eye?

Yeah the regular red and blue glasses. No i don't have any problems with seeing stereoscopic 3-d, seen it properly in many cases before.

Many people would argue that the 3-d in those games isn't very 3-d. I haven't tried orb 3-d though.

I'm the other way.  Piss poor depth perception, some 3D effects just "pop" for me and seem out of place and kind of cool.  My depth perception has seemed to have improved starting in my late 20s early 30s however, so that helps.  Sucked at the farm though, I've had times where I backed a wagon under an auger only to find out the auger was still behind the wagon by like 2 feet.

The problem with these games, you need to be a perfect distance from the screen.  Turn on the 3D, move till it works.  But that wont work since the screen edges are farther than the center, and is even more pronounced since the screen edges curve away from you. You really need a convex TV not concave for it to work properly, or a smaller flat panel. SMS setup wasnt as bad, never messed with famicom but it's the same setup.
  • the famicom glasses work much better, at least for rad racer. you can hack a 15 pin port into your nes or buy and expansion port adater (ENIO http://www.nintendorepairhut.com/accessories/nintendonesaccessories.html). goggles are going to cost a bit though. a powerpak is the best way to go since you can run the 3D fds games too.
