I want to play some Gamecube games on my Wii with my N64 controller. Is it possible?

Will this work with the Wii U? I don't have a Wii U yet, but I'd love to be able to play the new Smash Bros with an N64 controller...

The Wii U has no GameCube ports; it may work with the USB GameCube adapter they were selling for SmashBros though.

The Raphnet adapters are pretty awesome. They are a great way to play VC games with the original controllers, and work with the Wii U.

If only Nintendo allowed classic controller support for the "Twilight Princess" and "Wind Waker" HD remasters.

Hmm, those are interesting. For the reverse adapters (Gamecube to N64), will the Wavebird work on the N64? Or does it have to be a wired connection?
