Having a good week
Toki Totally Rad

What can I say? I'm hot this week. I popped in Toki a few days ago and made it to the 4th level pretty easily without knowing what I was really doing so I set it aside for later when I would have some more time. Well I picked it back up yesterday and discovered that I could also jump on enemies to kill them which really opened up my gameplay. I'd say Toki is a fun little shooter, arcade style play with some really funny boss battles. The ending was a little lackluster, you turn into a human and then you get the wall of text pictured above.
Totally Rad was in the same stack I was putzing with a few days ago, I didn't do very well at first. I was just trying to figure out all the transformations and magic. I worked on it some more in the last few days and found a good spot to farm for lives. I popped it in this morning and got on a role. I found myself using a lot of winged transformation and very few of the defensive magic spells. There are some tricky level designs and some frustrating continue points but the huge goofy bosses and the transformation power ups made it worth the effort. The ending was totally rediculous with the extremely 80's dialouge, I actually laughed out loud at one point reading it.
I have to give a shout out to Chris Tucker and Jakie Chan for these victories. I had a Rush Hour movie on in the backgroud while beating both these games.
Anyone play either of these? Love em? Hate em?
