Most commonly found sealed nes and snes games

Any thoughts on which ones are the most common to find sealed?  I think the snes crown might belong to Vegas Stakes, but not sure about nes.

*edit forgot about F-zero and Killer Instinct for snes.

Comments

  • nes? dance aerobics
  • I actually was thinking dance areobics for nes, good one.

I wonder in the case of Vegas Stakes, did they just produce too many of the games, and they didn't sell worth a crap? In the case of Fzero and KI, those were popular games, but they still could have overestimated the demand.
  • Don't forget Win, Lose or Draw for the NES.
  • OH SNAP thats right. Good ol Win Lose or Draw image
  • Zoda's REvenge and Star Tropics are both pretty common. I remember seeing Toys R Us sell them by the case.
  • Not sure but wtf is up with Perfect Dark on N64? You can find those for sealed for under $10 without even looking... and it's actually a really great game!!!

I got a Perfect Dark at Toys R Us for $3.  They had hundreds.  Gamecube was already out, so they were unloading them.  I never really played it much, but I could tell it was a good game.
  • I see alot of kirbys adventure and aladdin games. For SNES, F-Zero and Perfect Dark for N64.
  • Is the F-Zero non-player's choice rareish, commonish??

Kirby's is common in the french version. Where's Waldo is pretty common on NES isn't it?
  • Ha for NES can we just answer ANY TITLE THAT DOV HAS in stock!?

The F-Zero PC is the common one. The non-PC is actually kind of desirable I believe.
How about Xevious, Double Dribble? I thought those were pretty common as well. Also, NES Play Action football.
  • The Canadian/French version of Kirby's Adventure on the NES.
  • I'd say all these NES games are fairly common to find sealed. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Duck Tales
    Final Fantasy

    Ninja Gaiden

  • Many mentioned above, but what about Home Alone 2? I swear I see it everywhere for $10-$25 sealed.
  • The question I have is the current prices of these games. Just because they are common, doesn't mean they are cheap.

  • I remember seeing a bunch of Mega Man 64 sealed games up for auction a while ago, I don't know if they're still around. It was a late release, and Gamecube had just come out, and I don't think it ever caught on. They were going for cheap too, no more than $20. But all those auctions used stock photos, so there was no real way to tell. I sold a loose cart that was in somewhat shitty shape for around $10 about a year ago. Very strange.
  • on the snes side there's a lot of space invaders and magic boy out there
  • plus I know a guy with 800 sealed copies of civilization snes.

and 17000 copies of the aladdin nes games. yeah, seriously.
  • The two SNES games I have sealed are Vegas Stakes and KI. I've seen plenty Vegas Stakes, but not as many Killer Instincts.
  • For some of the SNES games mentioned here, are they mostly Majesco releases?
  • Cheetaman II

Yeah I bought a sealed MM64 about 3 years ago for $10 / Free shipping and an extra interact memory card included in the deal (wasn't listed in the auction but the guy just wanted to get rid of it).

Oddly enough, it's one of my favorite things in the collection.

I second Perfect Dark. I just picked up 3 sealed copies at Value Village yesterday.

no, but majesco's are generally easy / easier to find and much  less desirable anyways in my view
  • Why would a person have 17,000 copies of a game? Is he in the process of selling them at a slow rate?
  • He likes games and has money. That's about it.
  • Super Black Bass for SNES
  • For Nes, turtles 2 and Snes, there is a lot of tetris 2.

The majesco version only.    Try finding an original - you'll be waiting a long time.
