I have pointers!!, I beat him yesterday, he has a very tricky pattern, successfully dodge 1 of his punches and you can hit him twice, dodge another and hit him 3 times, dodge again for 4 times, etc, I got him up to hitting him 23 times in a row, his energy drains super fast. It's awesome when you sync this and beat him!
Yeah, the dodging is the problem. He punches so fast my brain doesn't have time to tell my fingers "duck THIS way!" so I don't get hit.
I think I'm on to something. The whole FIGHT is his pattern! He does the same routine of punches every time! I can now knock him down without getting hit once. Duck, duck, dodge, dodge, vodka bottle, dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge, star punch, dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge, he's on the floor. Of course, AFTER that he's still eating me alive. But I've got more confidence now!
In TD mode, bald bull is the hardest thing iv ever seen, took me like a week to beat him, super macho man was real easy, now I'm on last stand mode, if your losing there's no way to restart the match, unless you reset the wii compleatlly
I tried out a couple fights with Bald Bull in training, and... he seems beatable. You just need to hold that star punch. I think I'll have less problems with him then Soda.
I beat this game on Tuesday on Career Mode.Super Macho Man gave me the most trouble, Sandman took a bit to figure out but I won through dumb luck. Overall this is definitely one of my favorite Wii games so far.
I've made it (assuming) halfway through the career mode so far... beat the first Sandman, and starting on the second half of the game now. I don't think they could have done a better job. This game is freaking awesome.
I must say, I wasn't really looking forward to this game at all for some reason, but it kicks major ass. I liked Punch Out back in the day on NES, but I've always been more into platformers/sidescrollers than sports games. However, Punch Out Wii is definitely one of the best games to grace the little white box. The remixed classic theme and the spot-on retro controls really make this one worth playing. Finally a good reason to play my Wii again.
don't know yet... also found out, if you want to try over and over without getting 3 losses in last stand mode, wait about 4 or 5 seconds after your knees hit the mat, then hit home on the wiimote then reset and you will not have a loss!, right now I am at super macho man title defense, bald bull took me like 5 hours to beat!
i rented this a few days ago, I got to sandman and i just cant find any of his "telling" signs, i could beat him in the NES one i know his timing and everything
The music for the ending credits is awesome. It has that 80s sound with its chessy guitar riffs and piano parts. I love it The developers did a great job of making it feel very much like a game that would have came out during the NES era, except w/ shiny cel-shaded graphics. I sure hope Nintendo makes a 4th Punch Out game. Crazy that they only made 3 games in a span of 22 years. Did they not sell well? lol
I held out buying it for awhile because I thought it would be short, but the need to play through against the whole lineup with higher difficulty and new move sets is really well thought out.
I had fun playing it for a while, but by the time I was done with Last Stand Mode, I was pretty disappointed in the game as a whole. My main complaint is the lack of new boxers. Disco Kid was funny, but far from cool and the special fighter seems so out of place. It was great fan service, but not what I expected.
Although, if this opens the door for a sequel with new fighters and such, I'd be very very happy.

If you beat him in 1 day, ill give you a standing ovation
Might as well get out a magazine, because it took me about two weeks of on and off playing to beat Soda.
I'm on my 3rd fight in last stand mode, against baul bull again, I reall don't wanna have to beat him again
Well, if you lose, you don't have to worry about ever fighting him again.

One punch knocks YOU down, or knocks ANYBODY down?
After you have the belt and fight Disco Kid again....too funny. I have not laughed at a video game that much in a long time.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! LOL yes it is classic!!
Oh man. Title Defense Bald Bull is kicking my ass all over the place
He is such a bastard!!, when I beat him, I had knocked him down 5 times, and still had to win by decision!
If you haven't already figured out how to stop his bull charge, hit him in the gut one and half seconds after steam comes out of his nose

I found out, that in championship mode, 1 punch knocks YOU down every time, and the boxers are even harder!
I am currently at title defense-Mr. Sandman, this game is sweet!
Sounds like you're kicking some ass, Sparky!
I am stuck on the second glass Joe, champions mode
lol, I was so embarrassed when he beat me.
