Okay, you got me. The more I think about desoldering, the more worried I get. That, and I got a ton of crap going on this week, so I wouldnt get much of a chance to sit down and do it. Much easier to just ship it out. Inbox your deets, my man.
Anyone know if the everdrives from Retrogate fit in a US SNES? Stoneage gamer seems to be sold out of everything even though it says in stock........Can't add the Everdrive MD to my cart and the GBA everdrive is sold out.
All are available on Retrogate.
They are shaped like Pal cartridges but from i understand they are actually universal shells that fit in all regions. Is that correct?
I am now deciding what i want to do. I can either
Get an SD2SNES and then one of the following, GBA everdrive or the everdrive MD.
OR
I can get the Super Everdrive and BOTH the GBA and MD everdrive.

Yes, the super everdrive from Retrogate fits in both super famicom and snes systems. I own one and it has the slots cut out in the back like a US snes cart.

Awesome, thanks dude. Mind as well order from there since stoneage has no stock.
I wonder if the Everdrive GBA plays GBC and GB games. I would assume emulation is possible like it is on the EZ flash.

The GBA everdrive does not play GBC or GB games. I don't know all the details but the voltage of GB/GBC is different than GBA so would have required more parts or something.
I have ordered from retrogate before and it's not as fast as stoneage but it didn't take long to get my order.

I know it cannot directly, but i am thinking Goomba color may work on it. It is emulation, but better than nothing. Goomba works on the EZ flash.
So if you're not concerned with MMX2/X3 and the MSU audio implementation then a regular SNES Everdrive should be fine since (if memory serves me correctly) Krikzz started including the DSP chip (used for Mario Kart and Pilotwings) in them (where it used to be an add-on).
I did end up getting the regular SNES Everdrive, and it's suited my needs just fine. It didn't include the DSP add on, but I have Mario Kart and Pilotwings, so I'm not sweating it.
