WTB: Sega CD Model 1 or 2
I'm willing to buy a Sega CD that is used for around $70-$80 as I'm in a mini budget kind of thing, I've looked on ebay and a lot of Sega Model 2's are not working and sold as parts, sigh that's not what I need, I'M LOOKING FOR A WORKING ONE! Then found one that has a Model 2 gens added to it....sigh once again I have the Model 1 Gens and I'm fine with it!
Now how I'll find a Model 2 Sega CD so I can add it to my Model 1 Gens, and I will be willing to pay up to $80 for a good working used Model 1 if I can't find a model 2 for which Bios 2 has better music when no cd is inside the Sega CD.

Since this wasn't actually answered for you Bert:
Like this (basically the same as with a model 2 Genesis but preferably with an extender added on for system stability):
There is (was?) also a metal plate that you're supposed to screw into the bottom of your Genesis to make it stay attached a little better, but apparently lots of folks just didn't bother with them, as I've rarely seen them and had a bit of a hard time getting my hands on one when I put my model 1 Genesis + model 2 Sega CD setup together.

Didn't Model 1 Sega Cd had the plate or it just the drive itself?

Both Sega CD models came with plates that you were supposed to attach to the bottom of your Genesis, although they were shaped slightly differently between models. They had a couple of metal tabs that would slot into the bottom of your Genesis and then would be secured by a single screw via a pre-threaded hole. The other side has four metal tabs which then slide into the surface of the "landing" area of the Sega CD and lock the system in a bit more securely.
