Did you know that just a few months they re-released all their alternative noise-grunge e.ps/albums from the mid to late 80s on vinyl with a book, soul-crusher included. I've been waiting for years them, but they are generally insanely expensive. It's right here. There is also a download option. I'm very excited to get this, will probably get it next month:

I have seen that, it's pretty sweet! I'm glad they included a handful of their previously unreleased demos, although unless I am mistaken there are some more floating around out there. You know what would be even cooler? If they would issue that Thrilling Chilling World of White Zombie tape that got nixed just as they were imploding. Are you familiar with any of this stuff? It's even got a segment where Rob Zombie shows off the Marvel comic book he was working on!

Also, and I doubt anyone gives a rip, the covers to my old Sex Pig comic books used the Pig Heaven pig image for our logo. Classy!

Yeah they should. I just briefly saw your comic in an old thread. Looks cool, is it inspired by peter bagge's Hate? Someone should re-release demo tapes on cassette from every significant rock/metal/industrial/punk etc band. Just high quality limited edition demo tapes on cassettes. That is the only reason why I'd buy music cassettes. To have a collection of re-released demo tapes, in their original format. Wouldn't that be cool?

Last thing first, that would be incredibly cool. I'd scorch my shorts over this on tape -

I can't say that our old material is inspired by Bagge in any manner although a good deal of our current material (Mondo Groovy) does have some influence. I'm an enormous fan of cartoonists like Bagge, Evan Dorkin, Marc Hempel, Steve Purcell, Sam Henderson, Kaz... I would love to know of any current humor comics if you know of any. I seem to be having a difficult time finding anything that suits my tastes

Also, have you seen this? -

Larson has been a favorite since childhood! Also a big Crumb nut, especially the stuff he did with Harvey Pekar

Calvin and hobbes was great too. I tried limiting the amount of comics i would collect years ago and then just stopped. There's a lot of good stuff out there but when becomes too much, you just can't commit. Also the whole nostalgia industry, and psuedo indie comix are oversaturating the market with too much average stuff that isn't worth reading in my opinion.

If i ever were to revisit comics, i'll always prefer individual issues to graphic novels, but digital collections make more sense for the future. I think there are a few on amazon, like every spidy issue scanned till like 2009 for like a hundred something, i think. Makes it so much easier to understand all the stories and follow everything that way.

    Love Zawinul.

Guy's the man. He played with Miles Davis on Bitches Brew (along with Chick Corea). Wayne Shorter was on there, too! What a crew

  • I buy CDs often, more to support the artist than anything, but I do listen to them pretty frequently.
