Price check on Gameboy Original Factory Sealed

So I was looking at the prices of an Original Gameboy Factory Sealed on Ebay, which were in MY opinion fucking rediculous.

Can someone give me a reasonable price area for the Original Gameboy Factory Sealed?

    yeah, there were a few that went higher. condition is super key though. I paid $650 for mine but it's gem mint, pristine.

    I'm with rarebucky on this one, they're worth about $600-800, and maybe a bit more when in pristine condition. About two years ago, people were paying more in the $300 for them, but since last summer, they went for as high as $1200, and I think some VGA graded sold for even more.

    Damn, I passed up several for $300-$400 about a year ago.

    The last few auctions went for about $400 on Ebay during the last few months. One lot for 3 went for $1200. All were sealed.

    I'm really surprised to see how much sealed Gameboys are going for. A few months ago a store here had a complete with box Gameboy they only wanted $20 for. Sealed really commands a premium!

    Yours is a different model than the one being discussed here.  The one being discussed here is the original release model in a bigger box that actually came shrinkwrapped.  The one you have is significantly less desirable and worth less...around $200-$300.

    Yeah, it's like anything that's extremely popular and extremely common. The best example is SMB. A CIB copy sells for $20-30, while a sealed copy sells for $500.
