Howdy Ya'll
My name's John, I'm 26 years old and I'm from New York, the state not the city.
I've been collecting retro games since before they were retro.
I'm not joking when I say The Virtual Boy was a very important part of my childhood.
I haven't really been collecting much for the past few years since most of my old consoles finally died on me but last Christmas I received one of those gamerz tek nes clones (the colors are a bit off but at least I can play my old carts) so I've slowly been getting back into collecting.
I kinda feel like I picked the worst time to get back into it. The prices are so inflated right now. Crappy games like Die Hard and Last Action Hero are going for over $100 on ebay. Basic games like Contra and Super Mario Bros 3 are selling for $30 a peice. It's insane. I'm filled with regret that I didn't buy more games when they were 99 cents on clearance.
I have a fairly decent if modest collection of about 50 nes games. I have tons more games for other systems but right now I've decided to focus on nes collecting. I'd like to try and collect the full nes library (minus the crazy expensive stuff like Stadium Events and NWC).
Also I just pre-ordered the AVS. I'm pretty hyped for that.
I do still have my old nes and I have tried repairing it by pulling the pin connectors but for some reason I can only get it to work with River City Ransom. I can't get any other game to play on it but River City Ransom work perfectly every time. If anyone has any advice on this I would certainly appreciate it.

Did you replace the pin connector or just clean it?
I cleaned it and pulled the pins with a safety pin.
