So over the weekend my neighbor who runs a flea market spot and alway hooks me up on video games had a yard sale, and had a few posters with this one standing out:
Even though I've never seen the movie or even heard of it before buying this, it reminds me a lot of the artwork for Metal Gear.
And I only paid $5 i the end, so along with a great poster I also have something besides a cheap dartboard to hang on the back of my door. I'm still not quite sure whatit could be worth, but considering it's an original poster and starred Jimmie Rodgers and Jack Nicholson I'd say I got a pretty good deal .
Found this Sealed G1 Transformer at a garage sale for essentially free. I bought this and a pair of Sennheiser headphones for $5, she tossed the Transformer in for free. I have absolutely NO idea about Transformers. Anyone have any info? Any ideas on value?\
Edit: For some reason I cannot upload photos, not sure why. Anyways the transformer is an Autobot named SWERVE. I see loose ones, but no sealed ones on ebay.

Try adding the term "MOC" to your search--I found a couple and it looks like folks are hoping to get ~$250.00 out of a carded G1 Swerve. I didn't see any sealed ones that sold, but one that was for the original card and a still-sealed Swerve who was stuck in the bubble but had separated from the card which went somewhere around $30.00. He's not a well known or popular G1 Transformers character, so I can't imagine the value would be incredible save to hardcore, completionist collectors. If you end up getting rid of it, hope you get a good price!

Thanks for the info! What does MOC stand for? With that I did find it. $250 is quite crazy, maybe $50 or so I think. Eh either way, good find for essentially free!

"MOC" is short for "mint on card." When searching for action figures you typically want to use that "sealed" or "carded" in order to find stuff that's still factory fresh. Here's a link to an image of the flyer/catalog that Swerve was introduced on. I would think that he would be comparable in price to Outback, Tailgate, Hub Cap or Pipes, as every one of those figures/characters were just repaints of existing, discontinued characters (in order, Brawn, Windcharger, Cliffjumper, Huffer and Gears). Glad I could help!
I stopped into my favorite thrift store looking for video games and found the 1980's tmnt pizza power board game (complete) for .50 ¢. Also got a 1986 godzilla toy $1. Unfortunately I missed out on a big shogun warriors Gozilla for $8 ; I saw it in someone's shopping cart.
Today I decided to drop by my favorite thrift store and found a nice bag of nostalgia for $2. I got some 1980's super powers and secret wars figures, 1980's remco wrestling figures, some bat man figurines, 1974 mego hulk (minus a leg), other figures.
I got a few nice finds at the flea market this morning. 1987 Optimus prime power master -$2 ,,unopened transformers Titans return teslor & brainstorm - $3 ,,gi Joe thunderclap - $1 ,,dragon knight with horse and dragon figures $2,,school house rock DVD - $2 ,,dungeons and dragons DVD -$2,,Studio Ghibli collection -$2. Also, a ds lite with Zelda minish cap and brain age - $30.
I picked up from my local Savers tonight a 2014 model 23" 1080p Acer LED PC monitor for $5. The monitor was untested and the power cord was missing, but I already own a similar, older 21" Acer monitor and gambled Acer used the same AC adapter brick from year to year.
I brought it home and as I thought the AC adapter was a match. The monitor fired right up and the screen works great. All it needed was a cleaning to get the dust & crud off. I'm pretty stoked I stumbled upon it as I've kinda wanted to replace my 900p 21" PC monitor for awhile now, but I couldn't really justify the cost of a new monitor.
I've actually had these for a couple of weeks and just keep forgetting to post them. Managed to luck into a free Apple Monitor II (just paid cheap shipping from NC to TN), then picked up a basically free (sold a local another extra copy of Kickmaster I stumbled on for $75 then paid that shipped for the system) IIc, then finally stumbled across an "untested" but perfectly working Apple II 5.25" Drive (actual product name) for $9.99 shipped. I can finally do more than load cassette data on my IIe, plus have a IIc to more easily set up or tote around than the IIe!
Went to an estate sale after seeing a pic of a Amiga 2000. Sadly that was gone. But did see this and picked it up. Not sure what to do with it but i cohld not leave it. Its 15-18ft long cardboard standee. I assume from a theatre but i have not researched.
Also picked up a Omni treadmill for VR. Not sure what to do with that either but couldn't pass. Edit - wound up just selling that. It was a bit much for me.
I had an excellent haul over the weekend. Not only did I stop at every yardsale I could find, I also went to several thrift stores (including 7 Goodwills and two Salvation Armies) as well as the Tri-Cities Flea Market and the Bargain Hunters store in Bristol, Tennessee for a sale/parking lot yard sale. Among the things I purchased include:
An Xbox 360 with keyboard and 5 games—Dead Island, Escape Dead Island, and three Call of Duty Games (I plan to sell the Call of Duty Games) for $35
A box of Trolls for 50 cents a piece
3 Mad Magazine tin signs (Alfred Eats Corn; Who Needs You?; Spy vs Spy) for $9 a piece
A boxed Wolverine Spy action figure for $9
A Skylanders Head Rush figure still in box
An out-of-box Imaginext Dragonzord with Dragon Dagger and Tommy for $7
5 classic issues of Archie Comics and a Bartman comic for a buck a piece
A giant plush Pink Ranger for $2 and a boxed Nick Fury Disney Infinity figure for a $1.50
I don't know how to post images, but if I figure it out, I will post some of my various great finds.
I finally successfully completed a transaction on the letgo app. This $2 Disney Infinity Falcon (never been opened). It was a great transaction. I successfully set up a meeting place (library) with the woman I was buying it from, meet up with her there, and did the transaction—all without speaking one word (since I have autism, this is a huge positive). Even better, I went into the library and discovered a fill a bag up with books for $1 sale. I managed to fit 49 books of various sizes into one plastic grocery bag. I'm that good.
I got something else today, as well:
Meet Zach (orange) and Trini (gray). My other cat (Tommy) also had three kittens last night. Hard to believe how fast I went from having one cat to six.
I had some nice luck at my local flea market today. At one vendor I picked up a box of 23 unopened star wars figures from 1996-1999 for $12. At another I got some 1980s comic books and a box of 1990s happy meal toys and matchbox cars all for $5.
Alright so I was at my parents house going through some things and happened to stumble on my old posters. I remember buying them around 08-09. I have no recollection of where or how I came across them but here is what I found and where I need some help.
First, it is this poster
So when I found mine I started doing some research. First off, mine is still rolled and wrapped in plastic, as if it was never opened from the distributor. Here is my poster.
I started looking into the poster and found that this is double sided, and it is an advanced copy (hence the movie release date unlike the original picture I referenced. I can tell that mine is the same poster as the picture I posted because of the way the orange fire/spots are laid out around the date.
the problem is I literally cannot find any information on this poster as another website shows 2 other different styles for the advance posters that were used in the United States to promote the movie
So I messaged some Vintage Movie poster store on Facebook asking about it and they said it's a German poster from their promotion of the movie. That it measure 23" by 33", while the United States ones measure 27 x 41" as you can see from the picture with the tape measure, mine is 27" across as well. So now I'm completely confused and the people from the store haven't replied back yet as they said they were out of town and would get back to me (it's been a week).
anybody have experience in this realm of collecting? Am I sitting on something decent or is this worthless?

Autopsy and DBZ are all there. The Disney puzzle is stained glass style. The pieces are transparent plastic. Heven't put it together yet.
These Japanese puzzles are quite spendy if you were to get one off ebay.

1st Venom, nice!

I'm not 100% sure what the number grade would be but just by looking at it it looks like it has never been read. Like no folds or bends in the spine.

Yeah like 10x profit. Sounds like a win lol.
Found them at my local flea market
This one was bought from a local NA member on Saturday:
While this one was bought the next day at an Antique Radio Swapmeet.
I'm really happy about both lots, but I personally think the 1st lot is the better of the two(soley because of the Robotech discs ).
I brought it home and as I thought the AC adapter was a match. The monitor fired right up and the screen works great. All it needed was a cleaning to get the dust & crud off. I checked online and the PC monitor is still being sold at Amazon new for about $110: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0098Y77U0/?tag=dislag-20
