Exploiting and Beating

  • Now there's a glitch found in the famicom version of Legend of Zelda. Beaten the game before, but if I never did and used this to win, would there be a mixed reaction?
  • Say I boot Legend of Zelda Link to the Past SNES. I enter the castle and jump off a ledge, then save before hitting the ground. Restart game, load save, crawl around underneath the dungeon and enter the Ganon boss room. Pass into the next room, collect triforce, and boom-shocka-locka, beat game with three hearts and one continue. Fun fact, it's still raining when you reload the save and Link is standing atop the pyramid. If you continue from there, Link is pretty much stuck in the rainy Pyramid area because he doesn't have the equipment to navigate the rest of the world map. I did this on Nintendo Wii-U VC with save states. Took me a bit to navigate the glitched dungeon because it's easy to crash the game if you don't know where to go. Be advised that if the game crashes under the dungeon, it could potentially wipe one or more of your save slots!

So yeah. Beating one of the grandest adventure game ever made in five minutes by skipping 99% of the content is totally legit because the developers left it in there...

Funnily enough, this was the exact glitch I had in mind when coming into this thread

Wait. What!? Can you guys post screen shots of what to do and where? I never knew about it!

About raining, of course, this isn't surprising: it just means that the rain lasted for more than 5 minutes that day.
  • ^__ never mind, I could quickly find now some references on the internet about it. Surprising trick!

I prefer stuff like the "minus" world type exploits myself. Who cares about saving the princess? I wanna be like Mike Phelps and swim in endless loops.

I agree. I've always found "glitching through walls" to be kind of dumb. No matter how good testing is, there's almost always guaranteed to be places you can go where you shouldn't be able to, lol. Lots of triple-slashes lead to wall glitches in OoT 3DS.
