  • my short list is

    Super Mario World

    Super Mario Bros 3

    Contra

    Donkey Kong Country 1

(there are probably a few more to add to the list, but these are my go tos to just unwind and relax)
  • Series:

    Kirby

    Super Smash Bros.

    Pokémon

    Super Mario Bros.

    Legend of Zelda

    Individual games:

    Sonic 3

    Life Force

    Shining Force II

    Phantasy Star IV

    Balloon Fight
  • MineStorm (Vectrex) - That or pretty much any Vectrex game. There's a reason it's in my username, that console has some really fun arcade games! MineStorm because it's the one I'm playing right now when I got a few minutes to spare.

Die Hard (NES) - My favourite movie of all time has a great and original game that came out of it? Heck yeah! I especially love the fact that it is short and that each playthrough is more or less different.

Pieces (SNES) - Basically the game I bust out when I've got some friends at my place. Best multiplayer game ever IMO

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (DS) - My favourite game of all time. Need I say more? Always play through that one at least once every year.
  • EarthBound, Yoshi's Island, DKC1-3, Tetris Attack, Super Mario 64, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjo-Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing
  • Super Mario 3, TMNT, and Batman(NES). Those three games I pick up and play if even for just a few minutes, fairly often.
  • There is so many games but the unique one I can say is Spelunker for the NES, there is something about the game that makes me get it out and play it.

Can't believe I missed that one! Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that way

  • Modern wise I seem to find myself always playing the newest GTA game. I bought a PS3 for GTA 4. If GTA 6 ever comes out I will buy whatever consel that is on.

Retro I have games I go back to. I got back into the classics around 2008 and I will get into the NES or Genesis heavily for a few months then take some time off. For example I probably played retro games for about 5 days the past year. I'm only including games I played as a kid and continue to go back to. For example I love Castlevania but I didn't find that till 2008.

So when I hook up the NES or Genesis I always fire up the following:

    NES

    Skate or Die II

    Rescue Rangers

    Duck Tales

    Mario 1-3

    Jaws

    Contra

    Tecmo Bowl

    Double Dragon II

    Genesis

    Dick Tracy

    Sonic 1-2

    Streets of Rage 2

    NHL '94
  • Link's Awakening

    Silent Hill 2

    Goldeneye

    Smash Bros. (N64)

    Super Mario World

    GTA Series
  • This is easy one of those things that could get out of hand, so I'll limit myself to my personal NES and SNES Rushmores of replay value:

    -Super Mario Bros 3

    -Legend of Zelda

    -Ice Hockey

    -Mega Man 2

    -Civilization

    -Tecmo Super Bowl III

    -Super Mario World

    -Final Fantasy 6
  • Journey to Silius

    Power Blade 1-2

    Mega Man 1-6

    Castlevania 1-3

    Batman

    Ninja Gaiden 1-3

    SMB 1-3

    Contra

    Super C

    Fire N Ice

    Ghost N Goblins

    Sword Master

    Wizards and Warriors 1-3

    Mike Tysons Punch Out!

Pretty much the same and why I am ditching a lot of games I know I'll never get to or play. For the most part though I at least like to think I will play the majority of the games in my collection at some point for the 1st time or again. Congrats on the mod status... must be recent.
  • Batman

    Bucky O'Hare

    DuckTales

    Mega Man 2

    Ninja Gaiden

    Space Megaforce

    Super Metroid

Those are a few of the games I know I can always count on putting in and having a great time.
  • Zelda. I can always find a new way to play it, or a new reason to. I still have yet to undertake the Master Quest, and even if the day did come that I'd fully exhausted all of the ways that I could think to play it, then I'd just move on to hacks or Zelda Classic.
  • The list is long but the game I've probably played the most in my life (and continue to play) is Mega Man 2.
  • Mortal Kombat

    Mortal Kombat II

    Mortal Kombat 3

    Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

    Street Fighter II

    Super Street Fighter II Turbo

Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers

    Streets of Rage 2

ToeJam & Earl Panic on Funkotron
  • No Dota 2 players here huh?

Well for me it is World or Warcraft, Dota 2, Chess and probably Goldeneye.
  • Contra 1-3

    King of Dragons

    Megaman X and X2

    Link to the Past

    Super Metroid
  • Contra

    Jaws

    Karate Kid

    Road Rash II

    Space Invaders

I wouldn't even necessarily call each of these my favorite games, but I definitely still play these five more than any others in my library, and haven't tired of them even though I've been playing them most of my life.
  • Toejam and Earl

    The Guardian Legend

    X-Com

    Batman (NES)

    All the NES Megamans

    Super Mario World
  • CASTLEVANIA 4 ... it's my Halloween tradition
