Would you ever trade one of your heavy hitter games for your childhood toy?

  • I still have a ton of my childhood toys(Transformers and GI Joe), and they're just sitting in boxes in the garage, so no.
  • I still have most of the toys that meant anything to me as a child (my star wars collection, power rangers, stuffed animals).

I also don't really have any heavy hitter titles in terms of collectibles. However, I would definitely trade rarer titles if I could get my childhood NES and 5 games (Zelda, SMB, SMB2, Gunsmoke, and Golf + Game Genie) back. I repurchased all of them, but just for personal reasons it would be really cool to have my originals. I'm pretty sure my sister threw them out because it was "broken" back in 2001 or so. I'm sure it's something I could have fixed, as it was probably just dirty or needed a new connector.
  • Hell no. Most of my NES games were my childhood toys, and I still have most of them (at least the ones that weren't stolen).

Do I want to give up my CIB party wagon or not...
  • I've said before, and I'll say again.  Games in my collections are more like mnemonic devices for me (Damn fancy word for an Ohioan, I know).  So trading them away seems wrong to my way of thinking.  And I couldn't think of too many higher end toys I'd want.  For some reason I have no desire for the he-man stuff, so it would be limited to a few things:

He's not that expensive if you dont mind a few missing parts

No flipping way I'd want to be seen riding this now.  Also, when the chain comes off the sprocket, or some other field repair needs done, have fun pushing this heavy SOB back home. It isn't light (Or at least not when you're 10)

They're like $30 at TSC here.  I'm not trading anything for that.
