Well I'm a Pats fan lol. Anybody is better than Philbin, though. He was the worst

    coach in the league.

Tony Sparano? Mr. Field Goals? No?
  • There goes JJ Watt for the season. Of course I have the Texans D in fantasy...
  • NFL playing these guys on 3 days' rest and this is what you get.
  • That's crazy. I know he loves to play and sacrifices everything for the game, but he seemed to take it too far in rushing back. I hope he is able to recover fully.
  • oh man....2 back injuries in two years.....you know what happens now.

he should just retire and look out for his longterm health.

Better yet, he should join the Cowboys. They loooove paying washed up stars with bad backs the big bucks.
  • Whos washed up?

Who did they pay with a bad back at the time of a contract?

Your joke falls short. (2/10). I like your effort though.
  • Dez day to day week to week with a hairline fracture in his knee. Damnit to hell

why does this crap always happen. Why did they let him play in the second half?

He caught a td with a fracture in his knee? one tough sob

I stopped watchig that game not long after his injury. Did he appear hobbled after coming back in?

I saw him in the 4th not run a route, but the play wasnt to his side so I dont know if that was injury self preservation or lack of effort. He caught a TD and fought to get in the endzone in th 4th quarter. Didnt look hurt there.

  • Dez skipped a couple practices and team meetings this week lol. That should end well.
  • He missed a couple team meetings and an mri on monday which was s player off day. He didnt miss practices because he wouldnt be practicing on his knee anyway. He states he didnt want to hear sny bad news monday about his knee and wanted to play through it so didnt want an mri. Not the wisest decision, but he had his mri on wednesday. But like everything dez bryant and cowboys the media trys to make a huge story out of something thats taken care of and usually exaggerated or not true at all in the first place. In this case its truthful, but just blowing it out of proportion since its already dealt with

"He's a very, very passionate person. He loves football. He loves this team. He's a driven guy and his response to this was not the right one," Garrett said. "It was an understandable response given his personality and everything he puts into this.

"He's an emotional person and he didn't handle it the right way. What we have to do as a team is we have to handle it the right way. We understand where he was coming from and then we address it, we solve it, we move on. That's how we handle things here. And that's what we've done."

Its not that big of a deal. He probably isnt playing for couple weeks. Already done and over
  • The Bengals better beat the Dolphins tonight. The Dolphins are a train wreck. If the Bengals start 1-3, they're going to have a hard time making the playoffs.

There were some questionable calls in the Steelers game, but even if the waived-off TD and the fumble recovery went the Bengals' way, I'm not sure if they would have scored at the end of the game anyway. Not much of a showing against the Broncos either. They need to come out strong and get back to 2-2 to get their season back on track.
  • Josh Gordon decides he needs rehab a week before his return.

Fantasy Football Teams across the globe send one big middle finger to that man. What were you doing for 2 years gordon? you were supposed to be getting over your problems. You wait till week 4( one week before you return ) to realize you still have a problem?
  • What a goon for caring more about his health and well being than fantasy football.

It is stupid though, rehab takes years, it's not something you can just knock out in a few weeks.
  • Lol, i think you missed the point. He decided week 4 he had a problem? He was out of the league for 2 years.

fantasy football venting has nothing to do with him personally.
  • It's all overblown anyway. Wasn't it just weed he got busted for? I doubt he has an addiction, it's more that he's just too stupid to think he won't get caught.

I guarantee you he was going to fail his next drug test and checked himself into rehab to avoid a lifetime ban. He had a problem with weed, and i think the last episode was alcohol. He had a DUI before last season. So yeah weed and alcohol

  • ^Right. I'm guessing this is a preventative move to avoid another suspension.

Why check into rehab if you are already clean?

It's not just tanny. The whole organization is a mess. From the office to the field. You have to get a coach that will stick around for more than two/three years. Miami been rebuilding since the tuna left. They should have gave that guy whatever he wanted. Actually made it to the playoffs AND WON THE DIVISION!

It seems like Hollywood to me. It's more about the showtime than it is about football

Brandon Marshall. Reggie bush. Mike Wallace. Arian foster!?! Why the hell would you pick up an old busted ass Arian foster?!!!

It's a shame knoshawn didn't last. I was enjoying watching a decent run game for a few weeks. Lol.

This is going to take me a long time to respond lol. Give me some time when I get off work. However, I do agree that Stephen Ross is the worst NFL owner period. Don't even get me started on Tuna he got us in the mess we are in.

I can tell you this though.. imagine Tannehill and Luck trading teams on draft day. How many division titles and playoff appearances would Luck have playing in the AFC East vs Brady? Tannehill could have taken the Colts in the trash AFC South Division to a couple playoff games and division titles as well.

I will end on this before my long response.. This season is the first year Tannehill was able to audible out of plays. Let that sink in for a second how much does that handicap and NFL starting QB. Not to mention this is his 3rd offensive coordinator in his 5th year and 3rd head coach.

    Long response coming

Still waiting for your response. By the way, Tannehill fumbled again. I hope you have a good argument!

I thought I might have missed it   or he is still working on it

ill respond to to the non response. Tanny sucks! "If he was on this team, if he had a coach..." Blah blah blah. It doesn't matter what team he is on, would/could be on, ever will be on... He DOESNT MAKE PLAYS. Plays for first down, clock killing plays, Td plays , he doesn't make ANY plays. Even when the rest of the team puts him in position to win... He gets sacked and fumbles. I was hopeful when we drafted him and gave him his three years. But the guy just  doesn't have it.
  • Yep, they need to cut their losses with Tannehill. He is really terrible and stares down his receiver hard before releasing. Threw an interception there late in the game that I could have picked off. I remember a big Miami fan here on NA a year or two ago explaining that he simply cannot execute a deep pass either. Add in that special teams player that pushed down the kicker - how freaking moronic was that? Haha, he should get benched for that - the special teams coach was irate.

The sad thing is...the dolphins have offensive weapons! Flipping it around to the Bengals, wow Dalton is hit or miss but he sure can make some pretty passes.
  • Dalton and the Bengals are hit or miss for sure. I was surprised how well the Dolphins defended the run in the first half, but at the end of the day, Dalton has a better surrounding cast than Tannehill. I don't feel like Tannehill is necessarily bad; The Dolphins have spent first round pick after first round pick year after year on OL and skill position players and they're not panning out. You can't do much as a QB when your own linemen are getting pushed into you and knocking you down. The fumble was on him, though. Their front office is a mess, too.

Overall, I thought the Bengals had an alright showing, but still too many stalled drives and field goals. I'll take it, though. We're favored in three of our next four games to win (we're dogs against the Pats), and hopefully they'll win the games they're supposed to win.

How many Dolphins games do you watch? Last night he played awful and I can agree with that and yes he did stare down the WR on the pick he threw. I assume you are going off that one play that he stares down receivers.

Not concerned at this point with Tannehill. He has had one of the worst offensive lines since he has been in the league. Not to mention playing in a division with the Patriots (A team the all mighty Andrew Luck has zero wins against). Has any team in the NFL had a more difficult opening schedule than the Fins? Opening the season 3 of 4 on the road. @ Seattle, Pats, and Cincy. Now if we struggle playing 5 of the next 7 at home that is a problem. The Dolphins can get out of the contract next year with how it is structured if they so choose too. I will reserve my final judgment until the end of the season.

Tannehill is the best QB we have had since Marino FACT. 9 coaches since 2003 lol. He hasn’t made the playoffs yeah yeah. Would the Colts make the playoffs playing in the AFC East? Before last year people were questioning Cam Newton as well.

Again we are 4 games into the season. Did you expect the Dolphins to beat the Seattle, Pats, and Cincy on the road?

I need to see something out of Tannehil before the season ends. If the Dolphins end up 3-13 I am all for moving on.

Enough to know Tannehill is not a franchise QB - solid backup, sure.  Of course a lot of it ties to the o-line and the coaching and such, but just basic fundamentals.  He had a QBR of 16.6 last night.  His career QBR average is around 54.  I watched the 2nd half last night closely and was waiting for them to make it a game - they had many chances but just couldn't do it.  In fact, the team as a whole looks to be a mess - how many penalties did they have?

I will say though, he has a hot wife  .

He stares down his receivers badly. He may not do it on every play, but he does it. Tannehill is just awful. No deep play ability. He has taken a pounding in the pocket for so long you would figure he would have developed the need to move around and a sense to avoid the pressure.

Tannehill is a garbage time all star, but pressure time bum.
  • First shut out at home since 1993. The Patriots just looked terrible.
  • Yeah, looks like they tried to run a college offense, but they don't really have the parts for it. Oh well, if you told me Jacoby Brissett would play more than Jimmy G and the Pats would be 3-1 and the Jets and Dolphins would be 1-2, I would have signed up in a heartbeat. After Cleveland, the schedule really picks up, so let's see what they can do. I'm not sure anyone is taking the top spot from Denver with that D, though.
