Best Mario Party Game And Why!?
I am a big fan of Mario Party I played every single one. We always have game nights and we play Mario Party but I always liked Mario Party 3 a bit more then the rest! It's way more balanced then most of the series . Party 2 is my second favorite one. What is your favorite and why?

So, I guess I'd put them in that order for me:
Mario Party
Mario Party 3
Mario Party 7
...because so few others have played it properly.
2. Mario Party
3. Mario Party 7
Though I have never played 3 and I heard from a lot of people that its good. I like most Mario Party's though, the only ones I didnt like were the ones where everyone is in the same "Vehicle" moving around the board. I am not sure where Nintendo thought that was a fun idea but they can get off it. Also Mario party 10 was a huge disapointment, no online (boo) The dumb vehicle (ugh) and the Amiibo is fun but the fact that you have to pass around the Wii U pad for every little thinng you do such as rolling or getting an item is terrible and annoying.
2 - This is Mario Party 1: Champion Edition. It kept the best mini-games from 1 but dropped the stick-destroying ones. In many ways it makes the original obsolete.
3 - Haven't played it enough to judge. From what I've seen so far, it really steps away from the first two entries.
4 - Mario Party on the Gamecube! Feels a bit rough compared to the sequels like with MP1, but it has great boards, fun mini-games and even borrows a few from Mario Party 2, like Bowser's Big Blast (now Bigger Blast). It also includes more miscellaneous games, which are some of my favorite things in the GC sequels. Perhaps the one downside is the Mega/Mini mushrooms can come across as gimmicky.
5 - Improves upon 4 in almost every way. Borrows characters from Paper Mario N64, adds in the capsules (later orbs) item system which kind of unifies the earlier item systems. Fun boards, fantastic mini-games and even more oddball games like Ice Hockey, Volleyball and machine battles.
6 - Not one of my favorites. The biggest problem is the reliance on the GC Microphone, which works only some of the time. The sun/moon gimmick doesn't really do it for me either. The boards aren't as memorable and the mini-games are starting to feel stale.
7 - Hard to say why but I think Hudson Soft hit gold again with 7. It takes the updated engine from 6 and brings back older Mario Party sensibility, also eBay-style star auctions. Best of all, the microphone is less required.
8 - This game feels seriously unfinished. Quite possibly the worst of the Hudson Soft Mario Parties. They couldn't even fill the whole screen properly.
9 and 10 - I haven't had the misfortune of playing these yet, I hope I never have to if they're anything like Island Tour.
Mario Party Advance - Never played
Mario Party DS - Not as good as the console versions, but it's at least playable and has proper Mario Party rules. The mini-games and boards are a bit weak though.
Mario Party Island Tour - This shouldn't be called Mario Party, it breaks all the board rules for the worse. I couldn't find anything good in this game, avoid.
Mario Party-e - Never played, sounds kinda fun though in a physical board game way.
I rank the entire series like this (not sure where to put 3 at this time):
5 > 2 > 4 > 7 > 1 > 3 > 6 > DS >>> 8 >>>>>> Island Tour
You really can't go wrong with any of the Mario Party games between 1 and 5 (and 7, skip 6), but if I had to pick just one, it'd be 5. I feel it has the best balance of mini-games, board rules, pace and side games. There's a TON of content in Mario Party 5.
Having said that I haven't played 2 or 3. I was impressed with the first, except the stick destroying games and the amount of time required to unlock all mini-games in free play.
