Where Did Your NA Screen Name Come From?

  • My brother and I had the username "CyberThreat" on the X-Band Videogame Modem service in 1995. When we got AOL in 1996, the screen name was taken so I made CyberZer0. Cyber-anything was starting to sound corny by that point and I spent a lot of time on EFNET IRC, so I transitioned to a shortened version by the end of the decade: CZroe was born. Got a lot of alts from over the years too, but they aren't my online identity.

  • One of my nicknames in 6th grade was chris the king, so when i was making my reddit account my biggest collection was my nes collection so i chose nesking
  • It's my nickname (that I gave myself).

When I first heard of Ludacris I thought the name was genius. So borrowed the idea.
  • This thread is cool.

After deciding to join Twin Galaxies (my first online forum) I needed a username and I wanted it to reflect my gameplay on Skate or Die 2 (Ramp), the game I was gunning for, so I equated it with "killing it" or "kicking ass" in the air.... so I figured I was the Air Villain....

After TG shut down I saw a few members from there here and joined NintendoAge with the same name. THANK THE NES GODS AND ALL THAT IS HOLY FOR THAT!

    NA rocks!

I know there's a "Rate the above avatar" but is there a "Explain your avatar"? Some/most are self explanatory but there are a few I don't get and some that are funny/probably have a good story.
  • I was a big fan of Zorro as a kid but I was afraid of trademark infringement.

I do love TNG.   But that has nothing to do with my name.

  • Typo. I was trying to say I was "CrazE."

I thought you looked familiar... I love your work. You give us "little" guys something to look up to.
  • it's my name... yeah shocking I know
  • On the Road, Jack Kerouac
  • 1337 - l33t aka leet aka elite (have been using 1337 speak since I was young playing PC)

    bcc - initials

    1991 - birth year
  • My name, "SnowSauce," is a combination of the words "Snow" and "Sauce."

"Snow" refers to my state, Minnesota, where snow is a common sight (typically from November through March, although it could be October to May). "Sauce" is a noun, meaning a thick liquid usually used with (but not exclusive too,) pasta. It's purpose in the username is because everything else I tacked onto the word "Snow" had apparently been taken.
  • Darned auto-correct. I could've sworn I typed "E-Czar" when I signed up.

I always thought you were just complaining that your pasta didn't have any sauce on it
  • abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvw...XYZ
  • I used to have an old truck, it looked like a bucket but was quite a hot rod, and it somehow earned the name "the Bootlegger's Deluxe" on a message board i frequented back in the day. As time went on, the truck was referred to as The Deluxe and I was referred to as Bootlegger or Boot. I use the screen name on all message boards and forums, as it is quite unique and is almost never taken.

I still do have the Deluxe, it is undergoing a frame off restoration and some very serious modifications. when you drive the same truck for over a quarter million miles, you become attached to it.

No, but now that you mention it, that's occurred more in my short lifetime than it probably should have.

I wonder if there is any statistical analysis related to this subject, I'd like to see where I stack up with other people my age.
  • A tulpa is a Tibetan folklore mind creature, sort of like an imaginary friend come to life. I thought it was a cool concept. That's about it.
  • You wanna know how I got these czars?
  • Didn't care for my former username... when I was ready to change, I was playing a lot of DK, and thought of the two screens that give me the least trouble. Fuck tramps and conveyors. And don't get me started on the Foundry level in my avatar... *shutters*

None that I had written down.

Not sure who yours is. But I do know it's been Halloween'd... That much I got. Some sort of Pokemon? That's not a diss... It's legitimately a guess.
