I'm terrible at coming up with good screen names so I just thought of an obscure name that wasn't taken, and ended up using an item from my favorite game EarthBound. Kraken soup, a very expensive restaurant dish in the tourist town of Summers.
Friend of a friend's surname is Holden, who also has an obsession with the car brand, funnily enough, and his uncle called me Baddieboy when he was trying to think of a name for me. (While he was presumably drunk.)
Mix the two together, and it's... still not making any sense.
Just stuck with me, though, so I have kept this name since 2014.
I was in the unofficial NA chat room and used an alias often. One day I used Mad Martigan because I had recently watched Willow for the first time in many years. People kept chatting with me as "Marty" and the whole thing just kind of stuck. I pictured the scene where Willow meets Mad Martigan in the cage. At first glance he seems a little off and strange but once the adventure continues they end up being good friends. So that was sort of my mindset...people might think my views are a little unique (because I'm not a diehard NES collector) or that I'm "mad" but if you get to know me I'm a good person. So in the end there was no real reason for the name but it's better than my old name which was Game Collector.
May years ago, when Josef (or it's short form Sepp) was a popular name here in the eastern part of Switzerland, people used to call the childern with their name combined with the fathers name, like Sepp's Toni (father = Sepp, son = Toni). In this case, the people used to say Seppatoni as a simpler way, and during the years Seppatoni became here something like a funny name. Many years ago I took Seppatoni for nickname as a joke, but it has etablished it as my main nickname, which I use everywhere until today.
Back when Phantasy Star Universe was still online I was a subscriber for roughly 2 years (around the time Ambitions of the Illuminous came out). Around that time I was only known as E-Kun/ Ein. My friends would notice though during missions I would barrage into battle regardless of the circumstances before me. They would joke about my tactics being very kamikaze-like and it just stuck with me over the years.
Mine is a mix between Juan Ponce de León and bouncing lemons. If you were to pronounce it, it would sound like "BOWN-SICK-DAY-LAY-MAS". (People just call me "Bounce" or "Bouncy", it's much easier to pronounce)
I stuck with a Blooper avatar since it's one of my favorite enemies, and they seem squishy and bouncy. Felt like it fits the name even though it really doesn't. lol
After deciding to join Twin Galaxies (my first online forum) I needed a username and I wanted it to reflect my gameplay on Skate or Die 2 (Ramp), the game I was gunning for, so I equated it with "killing it" or "kicking ass" in the air.... so I figured I was the Air Villain....
After TG shut down I saw a few members from there here and joined NintendoAge with the same name. THANK THE NES GODS AND ALL THAT IS HOLY FOR THAT!
NA rocks!
I know there's a "Rate the above avatar" but is there a "Explain your avatar"? Some/most are self explanatory but there are a few I don't get and some that are funny/probably have a good story.
Whos are you curious about?
None that I had written down.
Not sure who yours is. But I do know it's been Halloween'd... That much I got. Some sort of Pokemon? That's not a diss... It's legitimately a guess.
Copied from the thread two years ago - Got the nickname in high school because I would comb my hair to the side and did it so well it would hold its place all day even though I didn't use hair gel, just water. My friends said it looked like a toupee and agreed it was firm like iron, yet stylish and so theirontoupee was born. I've used the username for pretty much everything, but what irks me the most is that someone besides me has the gmail address! Lol
I thought you were just a Phantasm fan (but not a very mindful one) who got "The Tall Man" wrong... Either that or you're one tall drink of water. I'm definitely going with the latter on this.
When I played through Tales of Symphonia back when I was like 12-13 I liked the name of the final boss...Mithos. I thought id be "cool" and make up my own evil name...Plantos. So my first PSN account was Plantos17. I got a lot of crap from my friends saying it was lame, stupid, and all that. So I went on a username generator and bam! OpticalAmbush. My friends and I were into call of duty at the time and I felt it fit in well. So now whenever I make usernames I just use OpticalAmbush.

I didn't know what to use as a screen name back when I was in high school and used Devilock (from The Misfits) and certain people took to calling me Lox for short. Then I started using LoXXorZ (meant to be douchey). And now I generally use Loxxikus (just because?) or Loxx O))) (Because of the band Sunn O)))). But where in the band's name the symbol is just a symbol, I generally consider my name pronounced as Loxx O(h).
I thought you were just a Phantasm fan (but not a very mindful one) who got "The Tall Man" wrong... Either that or you're one tall drink of water. I'm definitely going with the latter on this.

Could be I'm just a big fan of Jeff Goldblum.
Proportions are wrong. They needed to extend the arms with prosthetics to get the effect right. Now he looks like a freak in line with his portrayal of "The Fly," which is reason enough to watch this.
Rowan Atkinson doing his Mr. Bean face sells me on this.
I can honestly say this is the most accurate screen name I've ever come across.
Hahaa I wish I could have stayed and hung out more but just wasn't in the cards. Btw I meant to tell you it was really cool to meet you and I really respect your work. Keep it up. I'll be first in line for your new shoot em up game Awesome panel! Really cool of you to share your knowledge and experience *tips hat*
I posted this in the other thread, but I'll copy it here.
For me, I'm a big fan of TDI turbo diesels and I'm a runner (ran cross country and track all through grade school, high school and college) and ran half and full marathons after college.
However, my name is a little out of date because I've sold my TDI and I've sort of given up on running due to age and condition of my knees due to the mileage I put in during my younger years. I've since taken up biking.
But I think I will keep my name as it is because EFIBiker just doesn't have the same ring to it.
I used to play TRIBES RPG (a Starseige TRIBES mod). Unlike games today, it was easy to screw up your character build, so I made dozens of different characters. My character Default was alphabetically above my character Genesis when I was thinking of a new character name. Put them together, boom DefaultGenesis. Shorted to DefaultGen.

444 - actually does have meaning. 4-4 is said (4 for 4)the same way but means you got 4 hits in 4 at-bats. Also helps that 444 is easier to type.

29/1/17 Edit- to make it less complicated
Take a wild guess.

Its shiny haxorus from pokemon black and white
Bionic Commando is one of my favorite NES games... possibly my favorite.
Screen name, not avatar ;P
you mean bionic commando isn't set in Milwaukee?
You guys must not have played the game... try it out, hours of fun!
Take a wild guess.

It's a Blues Brothers crossover where you cross the border into Chicago and fight the Illinois Nazis, right?

That looks like a very strange flick.
My nickname has been Penguin ever since I was in elementary school. So it was only fitting to stick with it.
I thought you just liked penguins. I'm being dead serious too.
Jerbilly is a name that dra600n came up with, a combination of Jeremy and hillbilly.
I thought you were gonna kill me when I said that lmao
Take a wild guess.
