Back in my Diablo 1 days, a few guys came in and PK'd me and my friend with hacks. When one of the guys attacked me, some weird effects happened - I think maybe a Scroll of Resurrection-type light went off as a side effect, I don't remember. So two of my friends and I made a little group called the "Warriors of Light", or something to that effect, to fight the bad PK'ers. And NathanOfLight came from that.
(Side note: I remember downloading an item editor and we made funny weapons to combat the bad guys once. My friend ended up with a dagger that shot arrows. Those were the days...)
Lack of imagination, I stole it from KoRn just added a "e" caps and lowercase vowels is/was a WWF Smackdown thing back in the day. Also regardless what Ozzy says it's still pronounced "monkey" and yes I like monkeys. Sue me.
