Ask and ye shall receive.....if it could be done in under 2 minutes.
I woulda so bought that bitd
So here is the question, would "Gigamech" be a game where:
a) YOU play as the pilot of Gigamech, where your goal is to destroy entire planets (with possible battles against R-Type style Warp Beasts)
or
b) You play as the pilot of one of those ill-fated fighters, with Gigamech sort of playing as a 2D shooter Attack on Titan
four score 3v1, one guy plays Gigamech and the other three play the little ships trying to take him down
Nice idea.
The other option I left out might be something that plays like Sinistar, where drones are constructing the Gigamech and you have to stop them or be annihilated.

oh I like that idea too. Let's just make a whole series of different games
FWIW, Activision was planning a "Mech Warriors game set in FASA's Battletech universe" for the NES, according to an issue of Nintendo Power. That's basically all we know about it though.

That would be one that I'd love to know more about, or if it just morphed into Mechwarrior on the SNES when they realized that the NES couldn't possibly support that game.
Something like Crescent Hawk's Inception (an earlier PC game in the Battletech universe) would have worked just fine on the NES, though.
They could have scoped it in a way that it played sort of like Godzilla 2 for the combat levels.
Comments
That would make a badass NES box art.
