    Power Blade 2  $1.99
  • Wow, some of these are amazing. Thanks for posting man!
  • yeah i remember those lists. Wasnt dragon warrior 4 their most expensive
  • I actually did snag a Bonk's Adventure for $7.99. I've always liked side-scroller adventure games, so this one worked out image

I had more of these, but I must have thrown them out. The one I had from 1998 had SE at $0.79...uhhh
  • Fantomex, yes it was. That, along with Contra Force and Snow Brothers were always their big ones.
  • i remember reading a story on DP years back about a collector checking the online inventory stock list at gamestop and a store like 200 miles away said they had one, he said he called, they had it, and held it for him. then he drove there and got it. dont remeber who it was someone else might be able to bring back the story.
  • ^ I recall that story as well. And then not too long ago didn't someone pick one up in the $100 range?

    I got one for $4.99.
  • Uh, that's not fair image I'll tell you what, I'll give you $105 so you made a hundred on it. What do you say?! Hahah
  • how about did anybody get any CIB copies for the same price as cart only? I know I got a gargoyles guest 2, a carmen san diego w/encyclo. and a super team games. They were all under 2.99. also did anybody ever get any free games because they weren't in the system? I got Hatris like that from them as well as a couple of others because I bought so many.

I think Sparky bought one from a game store for around that price.
  • GameCrazy (around 2004) used to let you check their nationwide inventory then have the cart shipped to that branch for free. The prices were similar to this. I got Wacky Races, Ultima WoD, and a few others of that rarity for $2.99. Then they stopped the program. I was on a waiting list for SE, but then they let me know that due to the length, they were cancelling the waiting list for SE, BB2, and FS2. Good while it lasted. You could also walk in there and get SMB/DH for .25 cents, they couldn't GIVE them away! Now I see them in game shops for $19.99. Give me a break.
  • Don't over look the nice Aero Fighters under SNES for a cool $1.99
  • Is it bad that if I got a time machine, the first thing I'd probably do would be go back to 1995 and buy, buy, buy? It ain't no lie!
  • im glad half those titles were never available in australia, meaning i never even had the chance to get them and missed out image
  • Dang, I remember I use to have a Funcoland ad listing but then threw it away. Aghh!
  • cool to see this.

    I miss Funcoland!

Last night I opened up a lot of NES games I purchased and every one had a Funcoland sleeve. image

Along with the Funcoland stickers and random writing on them... image

    One said Ross....HMMMMM
  • O funcoland, my first job.  The whole purpose of the job was the goodies that I got to keep.  I still have one of these newspapers in my NES drawer, and I would take all the boxes and manuals from any trade-ins.  Most of my empty box collection came from working there.  Used to buy games off of people for the trade-in value too.  O the halcyon days
  • I used to use the funcoland price guide as my 'collection tool' before NA had one that existed.

I'd just highlight the ones i had. I'd feel so good when i'd block a large area with yellow. Like get all the X games.

Ah, but if you did, and ended up getting all of the good Nintendo stuff, it'd create a total Back to the Future scenario. A world where no NES things of value exist, and as such NintendoAge doesn't exist, and everyone here is on a Sega Genesis Forum!!!. Then you'll just have to take the DeLorean back up to 88 and return all your stuff to Funcoland while avoiding your past self to return everything to normal... sounds like a lot of work to me.

    Great Scott!

    Power Blade 2  $1.99

That's how I got my first Power Blade 2 if I remember right (My second one was only one dollar more than that, though, so I can't complain.)  And I paid that $7.99 for Bonk. I don't remember paying so much for Bubble Bobble 2, though, I think it was closer to $15 when I got it from there.

And I missed out on the Panic Restaurant because I didn't process it was there until I left already. And the next time I came back it was gone.

And yeah, I got Fire 'n Ice, Dragon Warrior 3 and 4 all CIB for the same price as normal. I really wish I grabbed more boxes than I did.

And I lost all my Funcoland listings, but I still have a receipt from a ridiculous 60-something game haul I had from there that I spent under $50 on. And I paid entirely in change. Oh, they LOVED me for that one.

Also surprised about Ultima: Warriors of Destiny. I got that from a pawnshop for $4 when that pawnshop still sold NES games. I figured I would've flipped out when that happened if I remembered Funcoland charging $25 for it.

Hells no! I'd be going all Biff Tannen on this bitch. I'll start Nintendo Age myself, then become rich selling all my doubles out. NA's gonna have a sweet giant monkey statue. And neon lights. And gambling! image
