GBA - Lovely Teddy

This RPG, which was sponsored by the Japan Teddy Bear Association, is similar to the Alchemist RPG series in which a young girl, who has a teddy bear brought to life, comes with her on a journey comissioned by her grandmother to gather materials to create a complete museum of Teddy Bears. The limited edition you see above includes an actual Teddy Bear.

I just bought this one for dirt cheap off eBay and it seems so niche and weird that I have to try it. Looking forward to tinkering around with it and learning some new practical vocabulary as I study Japanese.

  • That looks great! So many GBA RPGs out there that could use a translation.
  • This actually looks like it could be fun ^_^

    Thanks for the head's up!
  • Aw man, I came in here looking for a chick in a teddy. WTF, bros.
  • Got a loose copy of this on eBay recently and been tinkering with it. You have to build a new teddy bear from scratch and then try and complete a certain design for the Teddy museums. From what I can tell, you have to make a new bear after finishing the last one. Going into the fields you can get seeds. From there you can go to the farmer in the village and grow them one at a time for a flower or cotton material. You use coton as currency in the material shop. Here's some japanese vocabulary to help you recognize the basics:

  • Kinda reminds me of Corduroy Bear, cool.
