Obvious Reseal?

Hey,

I think this is an obvious reseal but I don't want to make a mistake and cut it open so I figured I'd just get some confirmation. Auction didn't have a picture and didn't say it was sealed so when it showed up sealed I was pretty surprised.

No Y-Fold = Obvious Reseal?

  • It looks fake to me, but I'm not an expert. But some games were sealed without the seam on the back. I don't think that MM was one of them.
  • I know a store around me reshrinkwraps all boxed games. He says it is so people don't mess with the instructions and damage the cart. He doesn't advertise it as new and is very open about it being a reseal. It could be something like that with the seller.

I don't collect sealed games, but it does look resealed to me. the corners look worn and from the pics, I couldn't see a seam down the back. You need somebody more experienced in sealed games than me to tell you though
  • Thanks for the help guys, that's what I was thinking. Just waiting for one of the sealed experts to step up and tell me for sure. I'm sure they'll know if MM6 was sealed without the seam on the back.
  • According to Bronty's sealed guide in the Feb 2008 NA EZine, Megaman 6 will have a horizontal seam on the back if it is factory sealed...
  • That's a resealed my friend. All Capcom games have the H-seam line.

A good trick to see if a game is resealed, h-seam or not, is to check if there's a thin white line going along the back of the box where the flap open. When a game has been opened, even just once, it creates that thin white fold line.
  • Thanks. My first reseal! Can't wait to get home and cut that bitch open.
