    Not paying will get you an unpaid item strike. Many but not all sellers block bidders with 2 or more strikes on their account.

    some people don't care as they feel it is worth it. 

    some people have multiple accounts.

    strikes dont stay on your record forever.

    there are ways to bid not pay and not get a strike.
