NintendoAge **Unofficial** 2016 Weekly Contests Presents: M.U.L.E.
Hey everyone and welcome to the first unofficial off-season NES contest of 2016. Since we are not playing any more games until the 2017 season begins bimmy_lee and guillavoie have given me their blessing to run this contest for fun. M.U.L.E. is a game that doesn't neatly fit into any genre and I wanted to make people more aware of this great game. Hopefully other regular contest veterans will follow suit and post their own guest contests until we are back into the regular season fold. Here are the rules:
- 1 player only (with 3 computer opponents)
- Play on Tournament Mode
- Do not pick the Flappers or the Humans as your race
- Play until the end of the 12th round
- Highest individual net worth (sum of the value of the player's held money, goods, and land) wins
- You do not need to beat the computer opponents to have a valid score
- No participation score necessary!
I would recommed anyone to read the manual for the game because there are intracacies that are not immediately obvious.

The contest ends Sunday, 12/4/16 at 11 PM NA time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests. The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed. Good luck everyone and have fun!

My brother loved this game when we were growing up. I never actually played it though. I'd love to participate, but my baby boy came 9 days early on the 21st, so I'm a little busy. Good luck!
Nice!
Congrats on the future Husky or Coug star

Congratulations on getting a wee munchkin spawn.
Best wishes to you and your wife with the kid!
Thanks for the Congrats!
Jazzed to see an unofficial contest, so thanks for that Krunch. My contest lust is strong; looking forward to the new year. I'll try to give this game a spin this week, despite my general distaste for most strategy games.

Maybe you should extend this another week? It's a shame only one person has given it a try so far. I consider it the most underappreciated NES game.
Agreed!
I know everybody are burnt out after the season, but maybe an extra week could bring a little more scores in.
Does this mean I win?
Don't be silly, you got last place
So now do I get my last place trophy?
You should play in the 2017 weekly contests if you want that

If he can get 72,000 in Pac-Man in several days, he could probably be a tier 1 or tier 2 entry next year
So now do I get my last place trophy?
All right GoldeneyeGamer I declare you the winner. Congrats on being able to pick up on the game and complete a round (no sarcasm, this game is cryptic) and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I still encourage anyone to give it a shot since this contest is unofficial and there's nothing else going on. I want to put in a score myself but I believe my cart is finally corrupted from the cider I spilled on it 3 years ago. Some pretty Satanic shit was going on in the menu screen when I booted it up the other day. It shouldn't be hard to find a new one thankfully.
Man, if I can find the time, I'll have to give this a shot.
Would love to see that!
