  • ^ nice! I haven't bought anything in a few months, but on Thursday I finally picked up my copy of NBA 2K17 ($55.97) at my local media store (Bull Moose) and at the counter they had 7" copies of Phantogram "You Don't Get Me High Anymore / Same Old Blues" for only $1.97! It also came with a $2 off coupon inside to go toward the full album. I was blown away by what a good deal that was. At most stores you would pay $59.99 for NBA 2K17 anyway, I pretty much felt like I got a free vinyl with the game.

  • Any Perturbator fans?

  • Oh yeah, I got some of my KMFDM and PIG records signed at Portland show of the PIG tour. ( Raymond Watts, En Esch and Gunter Schulz)

    I. LOVE. PERTURBATOR.

Unfortunately, the only vinyl I have is The Uncanny Valley.  I do want the glow in the dark ones editions though of the other ones!

Yeah those are definitely cool. What color did you get? My Uncanny Valley is the pink. All the others are standard black.

    My favorite is Dangerous Days.

I think Terror 404 is my favorite.  Love X-CaliBR8 and John Holmes VHS Nightclub.  I have the pink LP's btw.
  • I'll have to post some pictures later. Sound of Perseverance reissue that came in yesterday finished my Death discography. Just a few pieces short for a few bands that I'm trying to round out too.

is most of them. I'll have to see if I have anything else picture worthy.

Oh- I just finished my Mars Volta discography with a sexy Frances the Mute OG for $60

Never heard of them, but I'm really digging the art on it.

  • 2 thumbs up

    Just found out about him.
  • I wasn't planning on getting myself anything for Black Friday and didn't really put any thought to today being Record Store Day. But I just happened to be at my local store when they did the 8 AM unboxing. I had no idea this was coming out, but I only had to pay $8.99 at the register. Talk about a sweet deal! This is probably my favorite Christmas special of all time and a few of these songs I'd actually never heard before (though a little sad to see the Santa/Jesus lounge duet seemed to get taken out)

    Aww....it kinda smells like poo....

  • Very nice man I would have bought the hell out of that thing.

  • These guys were local legends here in Oregon in the 80s. I was too young to know then, but I discovered them a few years ago by accident.

A buddy of mine who also collects records had a stack of old water damaged lps given to him by an older coworker.

I saw the album cover of this one and had t hear it. "This looks punk" I thought.  I liked what I heard and became a fan. Got to see them live a couple summers ago. Their albums are pretty easy to find locally, but I would guess not outside of the Pac NW. Anyway, if you like ska, check em out. The 20th anniversary CD added a few more presidents to the cover art, but removed a couple of the original tracks.

Image result for look for love billie joe
  • I got the Mass Effect Trilogy on vinyl a couple of days ago...just haven't posted a picture. Kind of cool, but unfortunately the records include a handful of the songs off of the albums. At least they are all good ones.
  • So my business partner donated his record collection to my man cave today. Lots of great stuff.

    Most of the Beatles Albums

    Lots of Who, Pete Townsshend

And for all you Canadians lots of Rush and Triumph aaaaahh!

Lots of Boston, Styx, Genesis, Tom Petty, Priest, a mint copy of Wish You Were here and so much more! Not sure where the hell I am going to but them. The bin must weigh about 150lbs!
  • Is that Rush - Hemispheres the red vinyl version by any chance? Nice score!

No they are all old school. The newest record I noticed so far was 1991

That's a hell of a donation. Nice haul

  • Got this with part of my work bonus this year (I already found the original 1985 VHS for 30 cents at the same store earlier this year)

  • Going to start picking up some vinyl actually....I had the bug and went to the store last week and picked up a few fusion albums.

Awesome! I'm a huge Beatles fan so that's a great collection right there. Also "Tommy" by The Who is one of my favorite albums. They made an insane movie based on it as well.

  • I found these last week. Gotta love Cameo! The music videos for these are so ridiculous. I also got "You be illin" by run dmc, "take a walk on the wild side" by Lou reed, and "American woman/no sugar tonight" by the guess who.
  • It's likely none of you have heard of him, but my most prized vinyls are these from Hell. II and III first prints and the re-released trilogy picture discs. The trilogy set came with 3 posters and a back patch. I have 2 copies and the backpatch is on one of my jackets. It's all pictured here, though.
  • What's a vi...nyl...re...cord...?

I guess now it'd be "what's a CD player?" Oh, you mean an MP3 player!   And remember on the Simpsons "VHS Village formerly Beta Barn"? I guess it'd now be Blu-Ray Bonanza formerly DVD Den formerly VHS Village formerly Beta Barn formerly Kindescope Klassics Kollection (Krusty: Huh, KKK?? Woah, that's not good...)?
  • Wow, this got moved to the second page for me! Bumping this guy up with my newest addition:

I got my copy in on Monday. I loved the NES side. I didn't like the famicom side at first but after listening to it for a few times I fell in love with it. I cannot wait for Dracula's Curse and Super Castlevania.
