Hoarder becomes collector.

Sup,

OG Nintendo kid born 1980 - Long time lurker, first time member.   Not new to the game but been absent from play for sometime.

Bitten hard by the NES bug again, been more of a hoarder than a collector over the years thou.  Don't own much of interest, mainly stuff I've had since a kid.

I like to tinker with the consoles more than play the games these days.  I probably have more consoles than games at the moment, including a few differnt NES/Famicom to choose from.

Never been a fan of the modern gaming era, always been into the 8bit and 16bit era of gaming.  I've dabbled in creating 2D sprite based games over the years, it has only increased my appreciation of the NES.  Music was always my main thing, so I've also got a lot of love for chiptunes and FM too.

Back in the day my brother and I traded in our Atari collection for a NES console and one game.  Regrettably years later we traded the NES and all the games for a SNES and a copy of Turtles in Time   (seemed like a good deal back then lol)  Saddened to find out recently my collection of SNES games was mistakenly sold by my friend's brother    - I used to live with him years ago, had kinda forgot they were still packed with his stuff at his mother's house... his douche brother decided to pawn all his old consoles and games without asking.   I didn't even get any money for it.  I'm pretty sure the only game that they even owned was Vegas Stakes (lol)...*sigh*

All I've got left is some empty boxes and a few grubby carts...   Anyhow after years of being screwed as a PAL user, looking to start over and build a NTSC collection for my NES.   Thou I've also started to get an obsession with the Famicom and Japanese games in recent years. (And those dam Gameboy boxes are always tempting me too)  So it's kinda hard to focus on collecting just one thing for me.

Thanks for letting us join the forums.

Cheers
