Hello! I've always meant to join NA and keep up with all of the latest here, so here I am!
I grew up playing all the classics, and they eventually pushed me into learning about how to program and translate Japanese games into English, as a hobby and professionally. I now run a site about how classic games were localized into English, and even just finished my second book on the topic, which is about EarthBound's localization specifically. My next one is going to be about the original Super Mario Bros., and it's been a lot of fun hunting research material & SMB1 releases from all over the world!
Anyway, I just thought I'd quickly say hi since I finally joined. See you around!

...because the Famicom had non-detachable controllers and Start/Select buttons were only on controller # 1.
