Hello, I'm doing this backwards
So I'm signing up on these forums as I'm getting out of collecting NES games. Perfect, right?
I'm Phil. I used to write for video game magazines (Nintendo Power, EGM, Expert Gamer, GameNOW) and websites (GameSpy). During all those years, I was collecting NES games. Had a near complete U.S. library, too, but I recently decided to sell most of 'em off because paying off student loans has become more important than 24/7 access to a copy of Eliminator Boat Duel.
Now, I'm not getting rid of all of my games, of course. I'm keeping some of the classic titles (the Marios, Zelda, Mega Mans--er, Men, Castlevanias, etc.) and any that have sentimental value (Blaster Master), but most of my stuff is going. I posted a thread over in the auctions forums if you're interested, but here I just wanted to say hello.

Thanks! I also forgot to mention that I'm the co-host on a couple podcasts (Player One Podcast and Points of Articulation). We've gone into a few old game mag stories on POP over the years, that's for sure.
Sounds like you're just "downsizing" and will still keep on playing what you love. So you're not getting out of the game, just "reorganizing your gaming priorities"

This is very much accurate. Just at a point in my life where I need to prioritize.

That's right... nothing wrong with prioritizing... just don't give away your favourite games!
