I did manage one Thrilla's Surfari that didn't have the spotty end label and sold that mofo for a premium because of it.

Wait, it's hard to find a good label for Krusty's Fun House? I actually own a nice looking copy; I didn't know this was special!
  • Batman ROTJ uses a Nintendo made PCB, but Sunsoft did make their own shells for some copies. But yeah the glue is generally garbage. A Nintendo made label will peel off if you head it up. With the ROTJ carts the paper will peel off and leave a layer of brittle glue to scrape away.
  • Nintendo produced board, yes, but seeing how the chips and even the board say Sunsoft on them, I think that qualifies as Sunsoft designed.

I've always been puzzled at their relationship with Nintendo. I've seen Batman with a TLROM and a Batman-specific board ("NES-B4" IIRC). I don't see why there would be two board versions when TLROM already existed.

Woah, that'a nice Bartman!!! Mine isn't too bad by Acclaim standards, but nothing too spectacular. The Krusty is a made in Japan label though, which was not made by Acclaim and hence is a quality label.

I wonder if thats considered a variant.  It probably has a real NES PCB and not an acclaim one.

Mine has a Nintendo PCB AFAIK. I'll post pics of my Krusty's PCB along with those of my Roger Clemens

The PAL Krustys have Nintendo PCBs and better labels.  Ive never seen a Roger that wasn't acclaim PCB

My Krusty's an NTSC version. All PAL acclaim games have Nintendo PCBs though

    I'll post the pics soon

Of course I fell asleep yesterday without posting those pics...

  • So it looks pretty conclusive that I will never find a clean label for this game. Can anyone do a quality reprint?

I know there are people here who are sensitive about this kind of thing, but I can assure you all it's just one label for one game in my collection that isn't rare at all. I'm not looking to bootleg anything here or capitalize in any way other than having a nice label on the one game in my collection that doesn't have a good label (other than Batman:ROTJ).

Unfortunately, the consensus here is still against that, even for one common game.

  • I've got a crappy Overlord (manufactured by Virgin Games) sitting here. Bad label, discolored, end label falling off, the whole bit.
