Hello!
Hello!
I'm Adam, and I'm originally from Minnesota. My favorite NES games are (probably) Bionic Commando, Mega Man 2, and Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. I found this website surfing YouTube for videos about console hardware. I'm interested in programming for the NES and I saw that there's a lot of information here!

What's your programming background? Do you plan to learn 6502 ASM, or use the cc65 C compiler?
Hi Adam. Good to see new programmers.

Hello. I didn't take any computing or programming classes in school. I've only made one game, for the PC, using Game Maker: Studio (Game Maker Language). I'm using it again right now to make another game, for Android and iOS. I haven't made anything else.
Actually, I don't know the difference between "6502 ASM" and "cc65 C compiler" right now because I don't have much experience. I do know that I want to work with the 6502 Assembly language. It never occured to me that I could learn about the hardware or make games for the NES until I began seeing videos on YouTube of people opening the console, talking about the hardware, deactivating the lockout chip, etc. Looks really fun.
Welcome! You're in the right place ... lots of devs here and of course the Nerdy Nights tutorials.
Thank you! I've already begun looking at the tutorials and I think it's very interesting!
You will find lots of interesting information about NES programming here Adam Martinez.
