Mountain Bike Rally/Speed Racer loose, thoughts

Today I picked up a copy of MBR/SR for SNES for 300. I'd been having this guy hold it for me for awhile, but I finally got to get it today. It's nice looking, but what's happening with this game? I know very few have sold on eBay recently, and there's a sealed one ending today. However, this game has been all over the place. I know Tusk sold one awhile back for 700, and Sparky bought OCDSteelor's for 500 I think, but I still have no clue on the value of this. What have you guys paid? Is 300 fair/good/bad?

  • I'd say 300 is extremelyyyyy good, I have a gut feeling this one could/will take off in value if snes gets a stronger following in the slightest, it took me 5 years just to verify there were copies of this that actually existed. and some have compared it to having a rarity level the same as myriad. Sheer rarity alone should protect your minimal investment
  • aside from hearing what a few members on here paid for this game i was always under the assumption it was like a $150.00 game loose... until i heard the other members above paying those prices. i remeber a cib copy of this (with the bike attachment stuff being sold for like $300.00 and a bunch of people at DP saying that price was way too high, this was a few years ago but still?
  • I think $300 is fair for a loose one. I saw 3 copies cart only of this sell at the same time. all started at .99 and no reserve. They all ended mins apart from each other between $250 and $350 so $300 sounds about right. Sealed, I'd say they're around $500-800.

  • For now, I really think that is a fair price for a loose one.

I definitely see this game going up in value over the years, though.
  • I paid $265 on a BIN on ebay a few months back.
  • well sealed went for $850 so there ya go image
  • My sealed one a few months ago sold for $770 and I sold a sealed on on here 6 months ago for $500.
  • I agree that $300 is a great price. The game is very hard to find and as we saw from the ebay auction, it sells for qutie a bit more when it is sealed.
