Christmas trees

It's that time of year (the BEST time of year in fact), and with the holidays fast approaching, I thought it might be fun for us to show off our Christmas trees.

I've got to take a couple better pics of mine, but I don't have to be the first, so post pic if you've got them

I was unaware Canadians only had electricity at night. Ouch.
  • During the week I took some pictures of our tree.

First, with the living room lights on:

And now with the lights off:

  • Nice looking tree
  • Here's our little tree this year. With our first child due any day now, and an apartment full of baby stuff still to be organized, we couldn't justify a large one this year. By this time next year, hoping for not only a big tree, but a house to put it in

  • I have two cats. Putting a tree up would be an exercise in futility.

  • If only Scott Hall was a member here...
  • Went somewhat low-key with mine this year.  The newest lights on it are from 1949, and unless I change my mind, I'm not adding any ornaments.

  • ^^^ I like those old lights. My mom used those for the longest time until maybe 10 years ago.
  • I have not got a tree in the last two years. I hardly even decorate. I thought about it but just don't have the funds

Yeah it only ever comes on to broadcast the hockey game, otherwise who needs it?

I could write pages about why I like them so much.     Glad someone else likes the look.
  • transitioned this year to an artificial tree. only issue is the lights are so bright they drown out the ornaments in the evening.

  • Always cool to see your old Christmas tree lights this time of year! Here's my tree, I think I might have put up 3 ornaments and the girlfriend did the rest!

Wow... I'm glad to see there's others in the same boat as me. I've learned 1) not to put anything on the tree and 2) not to make any suggestions of where anything should go. Just shut up and hand things to her.

I will put up my Ninja Turtle ornaments myself, and that will be that.

I get to pull the branches apart (she doesn't like doing it, but will have no problem telling me how to do it) and yeah hand her stuff

Sometimes it's easier to just let her to her thing. For EVERYTHING.

I pretty much use that as leverage for getting a gameroom, haha.

Oh.... you want to buy a bird? Sure... I guess I NEED my own room for my video games. The bird chews cords and gets dust/crap everywhere so having a dedicated room to keep my games is practically a necessity. Haha... it's not that bad, but the bird needed a new home and I don't like keeping him in a cage, so Luigi the cockateil gets to hang out with us and fly around. Thus.... gameroom.

Animals/ANY (Christmas, Halloween, general interior) decorating = Gameroom. Done deal.

  • Looking pretty rough, but there it is.

  • From a few years ago but isn't what's under this tree so much better than just getting more stuff?
