Not as well known as Carrie Fisher here in the States but British author Richard Adams of "Watership Down" also passed today at 96, thought it was worth a small mention.
Really sad to hear this earlier. Star Wars was such a huge part of my childhood, and Carrie Fisher was my first big crush. I still have a cardboard cutout of Slave Leia that I got when I was 7 20 years ago.
This is a tough one, especially because it was so awesome to see her back playing Princess Leia again and everyone I'm sure was looking forward to a bunch more of her. It was awesome to watch her talk about her life, she was so open and honest and very inspirational for people who have to deal with the same issues she dealt with. RIP
At first I didn't know who Debbie Reynolds was...until I heard her speak...she was the grandmother in Halloweentown...I grew up on that movie
The kind of...weird thing was...me and my mom were talking about Carrie Fisher today when mom said something along the lines of "I wonder who's going to be number three." I asked her what she meant and she said that she noticed that these cleb deaths come in three's. So being morbid...I guessed Harrison Ford...he's older then Carrie was and maybe the shock of losing Carrie...turns out the shock did kill someone...just not the person I though. I mean I hate to think about it because we get so damn attached to these clebs...they feel like our family don't they? But I think my mom was onto something...death comes in threes. I just hope it's the last death 2016 claims.

Nope, there was indeed one more on Dec 31 William Christopher who was best known for portraying Father Mulcahy on the TV series M*A*S*H.
I just found this out today and seeing it was on of the way too many celebrities lost in 2016 it was worth a bump to mention.
I loved M*A*S*H as a kid, and still watch reruns to this day.

Absolutely devastating. Loved all of her work.
Here's hoping she's in no pain.
I've noticed how there have been a few celebrities that are dying really young now. \
Prince, Bowie, Alan Rickman, George Michael, Gene Wilder, the list could go on.
Heartbreaking to see such talented people being taken away at such a young age.
Gene Wilder's death really sucked, but 83 can't really be considered young, can it?
R.I.P. mystery woman from the blues brothers.
83 may not be young no, but compared to others who die a lot older than that, I guess it sort of can be.

Oh man. One of my favorite books of all time.
Add Liz Smith from Charlie's chocolate factory and Ricky Harris from Everybody Hates Chris to the list of those who fell today as well.
Quite the way to go.
It is tough to believe that she went drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra.
Quite the way to go.
Twas how m'lady wanted it.
Rest in peace.
RIP
Deaths in 2016 have been horrible. Said it before in this thread and I'll say it again.

That is enough, 2016.
