Make it more interesting like a sports trade. Add in a future top 5 pick to be named later.

  • This is pretty cool, I will take #7 for $200

    • Restored N64 colors for the A and B buttons
    • Restored text, fixing references to GC colors and buttons
    • Restored "N64" logo in the intro of the game
    • Fixed game crashing bug at the ending of the game (caused by the GC version trying to load an FMV ending sequence)

How nice of you to ask permission from the authors of the rom patch you're using before you sell it... oh wait, Ozidual and I never heard from you, and you're just profiting off our months of work without giving credit.

Or I could be wrong, and you can explain the technical details of what asm had to be changed to restore the HUD colors, N64 boot logo, and the Game Saved text shouldn't show up since you don't mention it in your description.

  • I guess ill take #4 then for $200.

not backing anyone up here, but did you ask permission from Nintendo to hack/alter the ROM? i don't doubt it was a lot of hardwork, but this is a sticky situation claming ownership over something you don't really own. it's a double edge sword from an outsider looking in (myself, who is not one bit into altered ROMs/hacks).

  • Happy new year bump!

@Aroenai - I never claimed to have created this patch, or tried to take credit for his work. The author of this patch (done by Ozidual, not yourself) clearly states on that forum that he doesn't want his name attached to a repro. Hence I didn't include it. If he wants to be acknowledged, I will gladly change my first post to include credit to him.

@The Hero - Yeah there are some pretty amazing ones out there. I recommend looking up Goldeneye X !

That's not a correct statement, the patches listed on both topics contain changes from both of us and the end result has been a collaboration. It is true that the asm to fix the boot logo and shop cursor fix was from Ozidual.

Personally, I'd rather you distribute blank cartridges or ones flashed with the clean Gamecube rom since you did none of the actual fixing yourself.
