New Years Resolution 2017

  • Oh, also, do leg day Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the gym instead of meagre two days a week.

Every day should be leg day, but you need to spare some days for arms, back and chest.
  • I might start buying NES games again, only need 137 more.
  • Flood the market with rares and pop that bubble once and for all.
  • Be more positive and less critical.

Get back in better shape/exercise more.

Utilize my free time better for things I enjoy and spend less time on the internet. (guitar, games, making YT videos, skateboarding).

    Sell more and buy less.

Wondering where you have been at, not on IG either.  Figured you went back to working on the farm

  • I really hate my resolution because it goes against my very nature. I need to save more money and the money I do spend, I need to be more responsible with
  • Anyone ever make these resolutions and never keep them? Been doing it ever since I was like...a preteen lol. But hey sure let's try.

    Non gaming related:

    - Go on elimination diet to fix what's making me sick

    - Possibly kick pop during that time since I won't be able to drink it during the diet

    - Ride my new bike a few times per week

    - Sell some stuff and save some money

    - Figure out a cleaning/organizing system for my rooms (man I am messy)

    Gaming related:

    - Get a good CRT and make a dedicated retro gaming area that's nice and comfortable to play games in for several hours

    - Put my less loved games into storage and free up space for more games

    - Get more shelving

    - Focus on the Vita

    - Finish off Xbox exclusives

    - GET A COMPUTER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

I'll probably do the diet thing, might do the pop thing for the diet but I know I'm weak so I'll just go back to drinking it once I'm off of the diet. Even if it's been out of my system I'll still crave it. The biking I think I'm going to try it...maybe less then that but I will ride it. The other two...idk lol.

For the gaming stuff, I am currently working building a room for at least my older consoles so I think when that is done I should try to get a nice CRT for the systems. Unsure as to if I want to store games in that room since it's going to have a lot of windows in it (since someone won't listen to me and had to install a wall of windows...) but I'll at least have a place for my older consoles and a CRT. I'll probably store my unloved games in that room in storage bins...if they're in bins they won't see the sunlight. Which clears up more space for more games and when I get more shelving...that could help with keeping my rooms clean (since most of the mess is because I don't have enough room for all my games/DVDs/books/toys/collectables). I think this is going to be the year of the Vita for me, I have one and I need to just focus on grabbing limited editions as soon as they drop because my god some of these are going for insane amounts on ebay...and I'm not made of money. I also just want to finish off the Xbox exclusives so I'll finally say I finished a set. And with most of the expensive games out of the way...I'll have a pretty easy time I think.

And the computer thing...I should have had the computer already...I was going to buy it in October...but stuff just kept coming up and now I don't have enough for one. Which is why I need to sell some shit >.>...
  • I'm usually pretty good about doing my resolutions, so I'm going to try to be more assertive with them this year. My goals:

    Non-gaming:

Go to the gym min of 4x per week. I did this for about 3 years, but decreased until I stopped about half way through this year and can definitely feel it.

Lose a little weight. I've gained about 15 lbs since the above happened. Feeling kind of sluggish.

No drinking soda except on Fridays/Saturdays.

No fast food except on Fridays/Saturdays

Finish my basement and move my gameroom down there.

Go to church more regularly. Been slacking on that as well.

Maybe run a marathon. I've done a half and would like to do a whole one. Only problem is that the training for it really kills most of my gym progress of muscle building. We'll see.

    Gaming:

I'm going to try to get to 80% of the PS2 library. I'm at 68% right now and if I can average a new one every day for the year, that will put me right around 80%. Totally doable.

Get a new gen system. Either WiiU or PS4. I haven't actually gamed in a long time. Thinking a new system would fix that.
  • I need to be more efficient with my free time. Weekends go by too fast and I never seem to get much done. Get up early and get shit done. Also need to finish more games and leave less halfway finished.
  • New Years Resolution? I just got one, and it'll be hard for me: Make the special people in my life know that they are more then appreciated. I'm usually not the touchy-feely one but I wanna try to be more of that way this year because too often i feel like I shut people out when I shouldn't.

I didn't really make a gaming resolution this year, so I'll make one up on the spot... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sell my Vita games by the end of year I guess, I need to eliminate things I won't play. Hit me up if you want some games that I never played (I have Limited Run Games). At some point I should make a seller thread...
  • Save up my cash, quit my job, and move back east. After almost 3 years (1 degree, 2 certifications, and experience under my belt), I want to be back with family and friends again. My bro and I may move in together. That's my main goal for this year...I want out of AZ!
  • OK, maybe this is a little late to reply, but... Here's what I'll do:

    1. Try and do something productive each day

    2. Focus on School more

But then if we're talking about gaming...

    1. Put more time into collecting for the Sega Genesis

    2. Play games that I haven't really played much at all more(this unfortunately applies to about 90% of my PS2 collection).
