Apparently you can't say the 'P' word on eBay anymore

I don't know when this was added but I'm assuming it wasn't that long ago.





On eBay when you message someone now. as soon as you type in, 'Paypal', you get a small statement below the message in orange.

If you sent the message with that statement still there, they will check and if you did try to buy something off eBay, you get this message.

So now I guess we need nicknames for Paypal such as Paipal or My Pal.

    Just ask for their Papal address. Ebay wouldn't dare deny people directions to the Vatican.

    Its been that way for awhile. Youll get the message with attempting to send sn email address too.



    Its very hard to resolve shit now when you have to do additional shipping money etc. Cant give your paypal to where to send the funds. You have to request money from buyer using their address. Hard to communicate without being able to mention paypal lol.



    Speaking of paypal. They got rid of classic site button and it pisses me off. I hate this clunky ass site now. Looks like a cell phone site. Trying to sort and print information i need is harder. Had to save a link to access their old page format. Their new site is not bookkeeper/accounting friendly

    They are cracking down on outside sales, I've been getting similar messages here and there. Ending items early and canceling sold transactions are red flags and they will investigate messages exchanged about the item before you ended it. I've had keywords in messages like PayPal or even "email" get stopped. You definetly can't send a legible PayPal address (xyz@whatever.com) anymore, so I did start spelling it backwards to avoid detection. (moc.revethaw@syx) but they have started catching that too..

    Yeah, they have been all over this. I've even gotten that message when telling someone "I only accept PayPal". I understand them being strict about it, but it's getting a little out of hand.

    Best way to get past it is send a picture of your email address, ive done it several times and no issues.

    if you get the messages in your regular email, you can reply (not respond) and there's no filtering and everything goes through ok.
