Better to sleep or pull an all nighter?
I got a bit of sleep in the middle of the day, haven't quite gotten tired yet but I'm like hour or two-ish after dinner sort of tired right now. So, is it better to fall asleep and risk getting up slowly/late or just stay awake and be a bit sleepy during classes? I'm thinking I'll just sit here and play some games until the sun rises, then drink some mountain dew and hope for the best. I'll let you guys know how it goes .

i should be asleep right now....
"I'll sleep when I'm dead" is BS IMHO.
Personally it depends. If i need to wake up to an alarm , i need 4 hours. Any less and i run the risk of half waking up and turning the alarm off and falling back asleep without knowing i did it
I'm in the same boat. After a certain point in time, no sleep is better than one or two hours and the risk of being late for work.
The longest I've ever stayed up without going to bed was 72 hours. Not something I'd recommend doing. If you can, schedule your day adequately and get your 8 in.
The only thing to worry about with getting some sleep is waking up in time for your thing.
The only thing to worry about with staying up is falling asleep in the middle of your thing, especially if it's class or something where you'll be sitting.
If I am going to get less than 3 hours of sleep, I won't even bother going to sleep as that will do more harm than good to me.
I've pulled many all-nighters in my life; usually related to gaming or studying. I can alternate my sleep pattern with relative ease unlike the majority of people so it doesn't really bother me. If I get my usual 6-7 hours of sleep for a few nights in a row, then stay up all night, I could either get my usual 6-7 hours the next night, or sleep the entire day away recovering and feel relatively the same.

Lucky you, if I stay up past midnight for more than 2 days I'm awake untill 12:30-1:00 in the morning.
