    ...yeah, Hi. *blinks*
  • My mom was watching "monsters inside me" on Animal Planet the other day. Some girl got a pork tapeworm lodged inside her brain of all places and nearly died. It was discovered when she was seven, but doctors believe the infection started when she was 3. 42 Footer, you wouldn't happen to know if one of your cousins was responsible, would you?

Ugg. Worms are supposed to burrow in the ground, not in the human body. Some parasites go through multiple bizarre metamorphises, you gotta wonder how these species evolve in the first place or why stomach acid doesn't simply kill them when eaten. Digestion is supposed to break down animal proteins and plant fibers into basic building blocks like fats, carbs, and amino acids so how this stuff thrives in such a hostile environment is beyond me.

Like one species of parasite that infects frogs causing them to mutate with extra arms and legs growing from their torsos. This make the mutant frogs sitting ducks for predators, then a bird or water foul eats the muilated frog and gets infected, the parasite passes through the feces, washes into lakes and rivers, and swims around in the water until it finds another frog. And it's reproductive cycle specifically required this metamorphosis frog -> bird -> water -> frog to survive and find new hosts.

I have no idea. Look up "frog mutations parasite" on Google as a start.
