Bad Mail Day

Australia Post strikes again....

Bought it as complete in worn but ok condition box and listed as untested.  I couldn't tell from the listing photos when I bought it, but it looks like the cart was close to mint before it got smashed.

The box as far as I can tell didn't really get damaged besides a few marks that aren't in the listing photos.  There is a tear near a tab thou I'm not sure was there previously.

The seller didn't pack it that well, it had bubble wrap around it that was never taped up, so it was just a ball of bubble wrap in the bag when I got it.  Thou I had to agree with the seller even if it had stayed on it wouldn't of stopped this type of damage.  In my opinion it fell off a mail trolley and went under the wheels, or even under the wheel of a postman's motorbike. It's pretty extreme damage to have just been stood on.

Good reason not to ever have anything posted with those crappy mail bags, thou I had other boxed games shipped that week in envelopes that arrived fine...  They were already in worn boxes and I got them cheap, otherwise I would of insisted the seller send it boxed.  This is exactly why I send everything packed in a box, to try and prevent this kind of thing from happening.

  • DAMN, that sucks OP!
  • My condolences
  • Eesh! Sorry for your loss.
  • I hate it when stuff is packaged poorly, though, I agree that this damage could have possibly been beyond the packaging. Sorry to see this...
  • This happened to me once with a super street fighter 2 cart in a bubble wrap envelope, have no idea what happened to it. Sorry to hear about this hope for better luck with the post office in the future.
  • Man this reminds of the time someone shipped me a game a diaper in a bag. Yeah you read right a adult diaper. Still to this day have no clue what that person was thinking

That they're soft and padded and are actually decent at protection after you get past its normal intended purpose?

Seems like a pretty neat ideal myself, of course we're it me and depending on whom the recipient was, I'd wad up a couple half baked brownies, or a naked Baby Ruth inside for shits and giggles.
  • If you bought it through ebay, you might be able to get a refund. Sellers will stop being idiots when it starts costing them money.

Please remind me of this post if we ever have a trade! Years ago my mother (preemptively?) bought several packs at Goodwill and stores them in my accessory building. I just need something to waste them on.

  • how did the box not get damaged?
  • Man that sucks.
  • I used to work in a mail room, and you probably wouldn't believe how half the stuff comes IN, let alone how it's handled before it goes out, lol. Mostly small parcel stuff, but that shit gets TOSSED across the room into bins unless it's got "FRAGILE" several times all over. I'd always have my NA stuff mailed to me there so I could have some semblance of control over it, lol.
  • This is starting to happen more often now. I have also witnessed a post office employee take 6x6 boxes and throw them into carts like they were playing basketball and bubble mailers like frisbees.
  • Noooo!!! D: I swear it seems like games are like magnets to truck wheels lately. D:

If the seller won't take it back, see if you can get some of your money back via an auction here. Not sure how much these are compared to the ones states side. I know it's not a common game, but luckily it's not too high of a premium either... but then again, PAL can be totally different, not to mention the shipping involved.

Sorry this had to happen, man.
