Favorite western games of the 32-bit era
One of the things I love about the 32-bit era is its campiness. Many games that were advertised with some sort of worthless gimmick (boobs, gore, shock value, etc.) have often become victim to being severely outdated and a product of their time. However, the 32-bit era of the 90's certainly has its own charms just as you'd find in any campy 80's media.
I'd like to know, what were your favorite western (i.e.; usa, uk, etc.) games of this era? I ask because most of the games we talk about are Japanese, so which from this period have held up?
I personally like the first Tomb Raider, though the series hasn't regained its popularity to the extent it once had. The Lost Vikings 2 (Norse by Norsewest) was also a decent puzzle-platformer. I like the Gex, Spyro and Crash games too. If I recall, the first Twisted Metal is now regarded as kitsch but I don't know what the current consensus on it is today.

You're talking about the days of Duke 3D, DOOM, Dark Forces, LucasArts SCUMM engine... lots of great stuff to pick from.

Sucker Punch really only had one 32-bit era game, Rocket: Robot on Wheels, but it's very good. Lego Media had some very good games back then, it's a shame they're gone now. My all-time favorite is still LucasArts though, they were literally a hitmaker, gem after gem right up until they crumbled during that fateful transition to the 2000s.

It's just not polite to get the names of the deceased wrong. You wouldn't misspell the name of your dearly departed grandmother, would you?
R.I.P. LucasArts...

LucasArts games were/are some of the best of their time. Dark Forces 1 & 2, The DIG, Monkey Island 1 & 2, Full Throttle... just so many classics.
LEGO Island was one of my favorite games as a kid too. I think all of my answers would be PC games because I primarily played PC games from 97-2000, and the only 32 bit system I had during it's life was the N64 which I got towards the end, and most of my games for it were JP.
MediEvil 1,2
Soul Reaver: The Legacy of Kain
Fear Effect series
Tomb Raider series
Twisted Metal 2
Tony Hawk 1-3
NFL Blitz
WWF Warzone
Twisted Metal 2
Wipeout series
The only game that comes to mind is Rocket Robot on wheels. It seemed like it was endless in a good way. Anyone notice how it blatantly lies to you?
