I can't even beat SMB on one life without dying on 8-3.
Then you probably won't want to watch this crazy Japanese kid beating SMB with one life _blindfolded_. He uses the fireballs for "echolocation" to figure out where he is.
Super jelly. I can get quite far in Castlevania before I bite it, but it happens. That's a goal title/series to no-death for me.
I'm really good with fighters. Add Street Fighter II/Super Street Fighter II/Street Fighter II Turbo/Street Fighter II The New Challengers to this list.

I still make a few stupid mistakes if I've not played in awhile, like getting clipped on those triple press trap in Medusa level, and falling off the platform in the cave where you have to duck down before "Frank", not paying close attention to death's scythe, so usually I'll have to make a few play thoughts before I can no death run it. My last time just recently I made it all the way to Dracula 2nd from and killed him and died at the same time. Was kinda of an epic death lol
I know I've no-deathed the following, not counting games with no extra lives that don't offer continues in the first place:
NES: Target: Renegade
Genesis: Art of Fighting, Double Dragon V, Growl, Saint Sword, Shadow Blasters, WarpSpeed
SNES: Chester Cheetah: Too Cool to Fool
Sega CD: Masked Rider: Kamen Rider ZO
Sega 32X: Fahrenheit
Game Boy Color: Shamus
Dreamcast: Virtua Tennis (arcade mode)
All on the hardest difficulty, if applicable.
I've beaten a bunch of other tennis games without losing a match, like ATP Tour Championship Tennis and IMG International Tour Tennis on the Genesis. And of course I've no-deathed tons of games on Easy mode.
I may be forgetting a few. I've come close on Monster in My Pocket, Castlevania 2, Wacky Races, Mega Man 2, and Super Mario 2, but always take a dumb death somewhere. Came very close to a no death run on Contra a couple years ago and died only once in the snow field level. Wish I had recorded that run, as it was my best Contra playthrough to date.
For the SNES, I used to be able to no-death all three Super Star Wars games and Batman Returns when I was a kid.

Oh I hear you, dude. It's always the hallway right before Frankenstein and his buddy for me. If the hallway doesn't get me, it will chip me down to the point where the boss battle is just a joke. Game rules lol.

you know that meat after the first bone dragon? What I sometimes do is skip it and whip down the second bone dragon and go back and pick the meat up. Also if you can nab a stop watch before Frank and the hunchback you can freeze em both right at the start of the battle and just whip the hell out of em, rinse and repeat if you have enough hearts but if that stupid hunchback gets loose it does make it a bit harder, just like the horde before the hallway where the birds drop them, it's all in the timing but any get loose you've had it. Lol
When I was about 13, I broke both of my wrists. There was a mom and pop video store across the street from my house that usually had a few arcade machines. I had been religiously playing Street Fighter 2 there and was able to 1cc the game with the two casts.
I have a really hard time thinking of ones I've beaten this way, so basically I'll pick from ones already mentioned!
Double Dragon II
Gradius (one loop)
Kabuki Quantum Fighter (1st place in NA contest in 2014!)
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!
Paperboy (captured on video for an upcoming blog post)
Super Mario Bros (as Luigi in 2-player!)
Super Metroid
And a few close calls...
Alien 3 - One death on the last stage
Super Mario Bros. 3 - One death toward the end of World 8 in a 100% run
I have probably done others that I can't think of.
I'm sure I could add more to this list if I ever bothered to sit down and try. Contra, evidently, is one many people have done but I haven't committed to a no-death run yet.

I dunno... I don't really think about it. But seeing a few people in this thread made me think of a few of these I know for sure.
