  • I lost a life on the third boss. Then I got an extra life on the fourth stage so I played for a bit after losing my second life. I wasn't sure if there was a strict two lives limit or if you could keep going until your last life if you happened to get an extra life. To play it safe I stopped and took a picture. I wasn't making much progress anyway because the fourth stage is tough.

    Okay thanks for the clarification.

  • Are all times going to be posted as TBD on leaderboard till the end? or is that just till you verify?  the adding I used was this time calculator online for it

Likely for all until verified.  It's nothing personal  obviously.  I'll check it and update it in the table for all submitted entries.

  • Sorry everyone, I'll change this back as soon as I get home from work. What sucks is that I had an update ready around 1030 central time but the picture was absolute trash. TMNT - Stage 8 - Boss Stage 7

  • ^^^ dont forget to bold bigger font the game title and score/progression

Like for yours it would be tmnt- stage 4 boss

Makes it easier for brock to go through the thread and find scores.

Also if you improve your score edit tge same post. Keeps it neat and clean.

Obviously I didn't watch you play, so you may be doing this. But when you're at the yellow jump pad things, hit L or R instead of it jumping you. Should save you a few seconds
  • i got to slash last night.

Thanks for the tip. I tried going back and improving my time but my and that track just don't get along. I was able to shave some seconds off of Ghost Valley 2 though.

No you won't. You're not going fast enough then. My best time there is 1,36,xx. That's how I did it

I've made the jumps but not consistently enough to post a good time. I feel done enough with that stage

  • wifey likes disney and super nintendo.
  • Vanilla Lake 1 can go fuck off.

Is anyone else actually doing Mario Kart this time, seems like we had way more people into it last year.

people probably want to save their best scores and not post. It kinda sucks. I have no problem with holding back a score. But I always like to put a score out there to atleast have fun with it. I put a benchmark on both contests really early for the fun of it.

  • My Scores:

    Bowser Castle 1 - 1:29:88

    Ghost Valley 2 - 1:02:91

    Vanilla Lake 1 - 0:56:07

    Koopa Beach 2 - 1:03:49

    Total time - 4:32:35

I haven't started yet but fully intend to uphold my bronze again to you and miles cheesehead Davis.

  • Ive gotten all my times down further. Only 2 seconds off your vanilla lake time. Got it down substantially
  • Well i lost to slash 2nd life again. Kept playing and got all the way to super shredder without needing a continue. I figured him out a little too late and had to use a continue. Beat him easily after that. So i beat the game atleast for the first time solo. Beat it with a buddy a looong time ago.

Slash is by far the biggest pain in the game. Pirate ship by far the toughest level for me.

From easiest to hardest I'd have to rank them: Koopa Beach 2, Ghost Valley 2, Bowser Castle 1, Vanilla Lake 1. I spent probably 75% of my time time on Vanilla Lake 1 just to get a better time by like a second. So yeah, time not well spent, what a miserable course.

    Edit: Updated

    Bowser Castle 1 - 1:29:88

    Ghost Valley 2 - 1:03:92

    Vanilla Lake 1 - 0:58:56

    Koopa Beach 2 - 1:05:30

    Edit: Total time - 4:37:66

I have pics but too lazy to upload them right now, and I might try to better some of these.

Well shit... now I really need to step up my game. Thanks for posting times and having a goal to beat.

  • I doubt youll beat those times. Those are basically world record level kind of shit

last year i got like 4th and was pretty happy with that. Right behind peg, miles and stryphos. Well pegboy was way way ahead but i wasnt too far behind the others.
  • Eh, my times aren't even close to World Record, you can look them up but they are so far beyond what I can do it's just sickening. They use some really weird techniques that I don't fully understand how they work. The only time I've ever posted that was "somewhat" close to a world record was my Rainbow Road time, and that was still like 3 seconds off the record.  Now if you are talking about Twin Galaxies "records", then yeah I can probably beat or come close to all of those.

I played some more last night and got another 2 seconds off my Bowser Castle time. I also spent an hour on ghost valley 2 for a whopping .05 second improvement. Now that was time well spent lol, I think I've hit the wall on what I can do for that course without going for that stupid jump (which doesn't buy you nearly as much as the jump in Ghost Valley 1).

I'm probably going to spend some more time on Koopa Beach since I literally only ran it like 4 or 5 times total. Might spend some more time on Vanilla Lake also, but I don't expect much gains there unless I discover a better path.
