wow wasn't expecting everyone to be so boring lol, grey/grey wtf is wrong with this site lmao. I figured people would be all over the colored ones. I voted for color, I like when nintendo consoles have some colours on them.
Ha, for real. I wasn't able (or didn't) order one at the moment, but I'd also go for the colors. I echo Andy's sentiments and hope for more colors down the line. I really want several color options, a la the 64, for both the system and the controllers. That would be great. I know it's unlikely. Console design is getting so bland these days. Blah. Where are my colors and interesting shapes? I guess everyone else likes black and gray with hard angles or maybe, if they're feeling gutsy, a slight contour or bevel.
I would bet the younger audience would prefer colored while all of us in the retro community prefer the rooted nintendo gray. Maybe an ugly purple like the snes buttons will be an option down the road......maybe they won't make that mistake again...

Yep. Gold would be great. Even looking at the options I like the red because of mario but it's in such stark contrast to the overall look of the console.

Funny, because purple is my favorite color. I loved the purple Game Cubes and Game Boys, and the purple accents of the North American SNES.
But... The neons are just bright and garish against a slate gray tablet. And the joycon looks more like a neopolitan ice cream sandwhich than a serious gaming machine. So I votes gray all the way. But if I ever get a spare set of joycons, I'll probably get the grays then spray paint the shells zelda gold. The industrial gray with gold would work though.
Edit: I may just get the Zelda decals to add some much needed bling...

I went with grey/grey just because I like neutral colors for consoles (generally). But if they ever come out with orange spice joycon I'll buy em!
