Kratos from Tales of Symphonia, He is such a remarkable character. I will say that imo ToS has the best cast of any rpg, ever. It's the only cast where I actually "believe" in (sans Regal, He was kinda an afterthought.)
Yuri from Tales of Vesperia, been about 8 years since I played it, and Yuri is more memorable than the rest of the game.
Cliff from Star Ocean Til the end of Time
Barret from FF7, he never gets talked about enough
Good call. I had considered him but his back-and-forth attitude about wanting to be helpful but standoffish toward the war just gets old sometime. I know it's suppose to be a personal struggle thing and is suppose to make him a stronger character, but sometimes I feel like that could have been toned down a little. Citan, however, is my favorite character from Xenogears and sometimes I really like Bart a lot... sometimes.
But, for me, favorite NPC (since it wasn't specified) is Sephiroth. I always felt for the guy. Here he was, a kickass warrior for Shinra, doing his job and then he finds out he was a bio-experiment and his research on his own past turns in cray-zee. We're talking Shia Labeouf nuts but with odd, unexplained super powers.
PCs I'm going to have to go with Delita. I just liked his role in Final Fantasy Tactics and how he was presented as a childhood friend of Ramza and the struggle between the two of them as Ramza begins to come into his own understanding of the world.
Now, for the ladies in games, it is and always be Aeris. Sure, she's a healer but as someone else said, it was the first time a game made me cry. She was such a good kid... My two favorite characters should have never had to have met that way.
Wow I don't know why i forgot my favorite character. I said Aeris, Red XIII and Mallow. And I love them to death. But my favorite? Gabranth from FFXII! In design, character, such a badass villain. Yup Gabranth is #1. Aeris, Red and Mallow and very close 2nd 3rd and 4th though!
Come to think of it, other than Squall, Quistis, Cid, and the jabba the hit creatures near the middleish-end they were all awesome.
FF8 rocks.
Its a rare day to hear some FF8 love. Bold move sir!
Hint: I consider it the best PS1 Final Fantasy. The junction system was tough but really powerful if you knew what you were doing. The story was about military school, going to war, fighting off an evil dictator witch, saving the literal fabric of space-time...and like three major plot twists. The in game collectibles were awesome from magic, and GFs, to cards, ultimate weapons. Tons of hidden side missions...my god in going to replay this game after my book.
P.S. FF7 sucks. Woo rebel group against a mega corporation that worships an evil being. So innovative. 10/10
Would I get threatened with that broken beer bottle if I said FF9 is my favorite of the PS1 FF's (maybe even of all the FF's?)? And if I further rub salt in that wound when I say that the PS4 FF7 remake is all fine and good, but it'd be a FF9 remake (if they do a good job of it of course) that'd really make me more eager to add a PS4 to my console lineup
Zell from Final Fantasy 8. Seifer was cool too. And I loved Edea's design. Come to think of it, other than Squall, Quistis, Cid, and the jabba the hit creatures near the middleish-end they were all awesome. FF8 rocks.

It is my favorite PS1 FF as well. And i always get flak when i mention it. The only problem with it, is if you know how to work the junction system, you can totally break the game. The GF's were my favorite in that game, i didn't like the summons as much in FF7 and FF9.

FF9 is the titties. Awesome in so many ways. Vivi's story is so amazing.

Nah, I'm done with threats (for the night) but tomorrow I could throw one out, or two since saturday nights are alright for fightin.
I've always liked the heroes from the first four Dragon Quest games, with my favorite being the hero from DQ 1. I've always liked the way he was illustrated.
Conversely I also like the main villains from the first four DQ games. I just love Dragon Quest.

My own character I made for Fallout 3...and expanded into a character I play as in any game...if they give me the option. I use him for FNV, FO4, Oblivion/Skyrim/ESO and even in other games...even if all I can do is have a custom name. It's easier in RPGs where you can make your own character of course.

You know i got a soft spot for DQ as well!
Now here are a couple of guys I can get behind. The original Dragon Warrior has a permanent spot in my all time top 10. DW2 was the first game I hunted down as a "collector". dw7 was in my opinion one of the best rpgs on the rpg monster that was the ps1 and you can make a solid arguement for dq8 as the best rpg of all time.
What is your all time favorite character from an RPG and why is that character your favorite? My favorite goes to Taupy Toplan from Sands of Destruction on DS! Taupy is a bounty hunting Teddy Bear with an eye patch and a drinking problem who talks like he's been smoking for 40 years! He's my favorite because, read previous sentence...Kuma. I mean just look at him! How could you not love em! And listen to that sexy voice!
Take a lot at your avatar and you will hae my answer.

Aeris. First and only time I cried playing a video game (ignoring tears of stress/rage)
Haha awesome. Aeris was dope.
Zell from Final Fantasy 8.

WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!!!
*Breaks beer bottle by the neck and points the remains*
WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!!!
:V I said FF7 sucks.
Not really though. I mean it's only the best selling JRPG for the PS1 and its sub releases are enough to be an individual AAA IP on its own right.

Terra from Final Fantasy VI.
Laguna from Final Fantasy VIII.
You know what, I have always had a soft spot for the women in FFVI...Terra and General Celes.
I mean, can't go wrong with most of those characters but Terra is probably my favourite female character for sure.
I never really thought about my favorite RPG character. Picked Ryu as my avatar so I guess he's my guy.
Very cool. I really like the Breath of Fire series. I have em all but havnt beat em all. Do you have a favorite?

I've played them all but haven't beat them all either. I would say it is a tossup between 3 and 4 for me.
