Okay, because of you guys and videos I watched, I bought the game yesterday. I had stuff going on and by the time I sat down with it, I decided I was too drunk to play it... I'm hoping to actually play the game later tonight after my current SNES completion game. The gameplay looks fun, the story seems interesting, and I love games where you can level up and (in the end) you can't lose if you're dedicated. So, I'm hoping to really enjoy this game and find out why people have been praising the Tales series for many years. Again, thanks for commenting back to me and trying to help me decide whether or not to get this game.

    Tales games are multiplayer BTW.

Did you end up picking this up cat?

Also, if you like one of the other characters in your party more than the main character, you can make them the leader and run around as them on the map and even use them in battle! You can switch between characters on the fly during battle as well! And theres always fun costumes and accessories to dress up your people with! Don't judge meh!

  • Also i'd say the series biggest downfall as of late is the sorta lackluster worlds. I really enjoyed the games more when they had the oldschool Final Fantasy type overworlds you could run around with more interesting towns to explore. Its like they nailed that aspect in and around Vesperia and then abandoned it for the current style. Sorta felt like when i played FF X for the first time and was like, wait, wheres my fun traditional overworld map? How am i going to be able to fly around on a cool airship or somethin without it?? Im glad games like Ni No Kuni & Bravely Default are bringing back that style overworld and showing it can still be awesome and fresh and beautiful! Its an aspect i really miss. I dont feel i get as good of a sense of the world without it.

No... I don't even have a PS4 to start with, I barely have any tales games... just like 4 of 'em. You better not put skimpy outfits!
  • So for those who played this game, how is it? Sorry, I don't have time to read everything in this thread. It still looks like Xillia with the same dull boring design and linear design dungeons. Is it still that bad?
  • Xillia had dungeons? I thought everyone played it for Milla
  • that English dubbing is horrible
