PDF files on an iPod Touch?

I'd like to be able to read the eZine on my Touch while offline.  Is there a way to download the pdf's to it and view them offline?  Any apps anyone knows of?

I tried googling this, but all I came up with was a bunch of jailbreaking tutuorials and running a localhost server on your ipod to stay offline, etc etc.  That stuff is a bit over my head, and I'd like to avoid that if possible.

  • you can copy each page. i know thats kinda annoying but i think its the only way without jailbreaking it. to take a pic of the page press the power button down and press the home button. you should hear it take a pic. thats how to do it on my iphone but i dont know about a touch.
  • then you can view it in your photos.
  • did it work for ya? pm me if you have any questions about it.
  • Hmm, not working. I have the 1st gen touch, so maybe that's why.
  • i think it still works for the 1st gen. my boss has one and showed me how to take a pic of whats on the screen. make sure you are holding the power button and while holding it press the home button. a flash should happen on the screen.
  • also if you want i can email you the pics so you can view them. pm me your email address and which ezines you want.
  • Jailbreak that bad boy! I did on my iphone specifically so I could put pdfs and spreadsheets on there. Now I can use the price guide, read the ezine, and see my game lists!
  • I was actually looking for something similar today. I found an app called Instapaper. It doesnt do the exact same thing, but you can save web pages or stuff from your computer (supposedly...I st?ill have to try it out) and read them later. I guess its good if you cant connect to wifi and you want to read something that requires internet.
  • I use an app called 'Discover' that allows you to send pdfs and other documents to view on your ipod/iphone from your computer. Another option is to email it to yourself, a pdf can be natively viewed from within an email.
