Eh. I am getting to the level of not caring like I did back in Season 3.
I can't believe that Fear the Walling dead is coming back on. That show is just horrible. The only one from that show that is intereating is Strand, Daniel (Dead?) and Tobias (if he ever comes back).
Over the last few months my wife and I have been binge watching and catching up seasons 4 through 7 since I stopped watching halfway through 4. I'm glad to say we finally caught up last week. This season has been great so far. Negan is a great villain and always makes the show interesting right now. I read up to the Negan saga in the comics, didn't finish it though. And for the most part the comics is better than the show but right now I'm just enjoying the show.It got boring for a season or two that made me stop watching it though.
I've been pretty meh on the series for the last year or so, but did enjoy last night's episode. Nice to see them doing a role reversal of two characters, plus the gamer in all of us would appreciate that episode!
Last nights show was fun, it was interesting seeing more of the Saviors and how they operate. Dwight does have quite the conflicting storyline, but to do what he did to the Dr - wtf. Negan just believed him about Sherry??? I'm thinking Negan knows more to the story but is playing his cards like he always does to make statements.
The deal with Eugene and the wives was pretty good (and that stunning redhead ), he finally grew a pair for a few minutes at least. Not a bad episode, but those complaining that there wasn't much happening a few episodes back, this would be the episode to complain about. Eugene had quite the line too - "I'm showing you these video games to show you ladies a fun time."
Not sure if anyone watches Talking Dead, but they had Dwight on there and I'm 99% sure he wore a Zelda Triforce hat! I have to assume that's a tribute to BotW. If so, boom he shoots up on fan points!!!
EDIT - and just when I thought the Dwight actor was the shiznit, I found via Reddit that the hat was actually a HUF branded hat out of Cal...
I liked last nights episode alot. Eugene plus negan is walking dead gold.
see i said episode one not alot happened. You are missing the point. People said alot happened and i coulfnt have disagreed more. Im fine with not much happening if its compelling. Episode 1 was not much too it and the story wasnt interesting to me. Episodes like eugene you learn so much more with interesting characters snd developmemt. We had already seen the kingdom, and nothing really changed. lets face it. Negan makes this show right now if there isnt action

Well you're entitled to your opinion of course . I personally do not like these bottle episodes that focus on 1 location, when we have about 4-5 different moving locations. I like the episodes where we see movements and progressions across locations. It makes these ones harder to judge the point in time that they occurred, and just feel slower to me is all. I definitely enjoyed this episode however, just didn't feel like much progress - one day in one location sort of thing. Negan is entertaining to watch though, despite a lot of negative criticism of him on the interwebs (he's too small, too outlandish etc).
I dont like the one location thing when it was like the first part of this sesson. Like 4-5 episodes in a row of it with each little story. Half of which i didnt care. Like tara. Couldnt care less.
Well...what do you guys think of last night's episode? Things are heating up and Sasha is crazy. Was really hoping she'd try to pull off that sniper shot but stupid Eugene had to go and get in the way lol. Looking light things are going to heat up at the hilltop next week with Maggie/Gregory and that Rick's group is heading to Oceanside...should be a good one before the finale. My guess is that they are going to leave us hanging at the end of S7 right before the big war.
Interesting episode. I am glad Rosita did not go with Sasha. Rick's group needs a military mind to help against the saviors.
I hope Eugene is just playing the part of a Savior and has not actually convinced himself that they are the best route for a new life.
It is just a matter of time before something happpens to Gregory and Simon. I don't see them surviving to the next season. I missed the Talking Dead last night, but I did record it.
I lost interest in the comics around the time the hilltop and the saviors were introduced. It seems that the same thing has happened with the show. I used to be a fan but I don't know if I will stick with it. I just finished the finale, and it was really boring and stupid. Every time it cut away to the same boring conversation between Sasha and Abraham sitting on a couch, or Sasha and Maggie sitting on a log, I couldn't wait for Sasha to die. What the hell was Negan's plan for her anyway? That made no sense! Why the hell did Sasha go after Negan by herself? That made even less sense. If Rosita was going to go on a suicide mission because she had "snapped", just let her. Why double your groups losses? If your plan was to kill Negan from a sniper nest, do that! Why give up after 5 minutes? Just wait until he comes outside again. Whats so hard about that? Why did the garbage people seem like they were a tribe from a Star Trek episode? And why did Rick trust them with a million guns based on nothing? Dumb decisions = dumb writing. What was the point of Tara going to seaside community? That whole storyline could have been deleted if you just say Rick and Michonne found enough guns at the Army carnival thing, or at the boathouse. Why did Gabriele wander off and get captured? That made no sense. They make such a big deal about Morgan and Carol giving up fighting because its going to destroy their souls (dumb storyline to begin with), but then when they come back to battle in the finale, the show plays all this heroic action music, and doesn't seem to show them being conflicted at all. If Dwight really wants Negan dead, why doesn't he just shoot him any one of the million times he's standing right next to him? How does the tiger know who are the bad guys? So much of this season was boring or nonsensical; It all started with crock of shit cliffhanger from season 6 and never did anything to redeem itself.
Since I see this thread up... what do you guys think of Fear the Walking Dead? Personally, I can't stand TWD but I find Fear at least watchable. Not here to start shit or anything, just curious what fans of this show think of it.
I tried to watch it and eventually it felt like too much of chore to sit through, and I hated Chris so much. I understand he was killed off, but still.
Isn't the new trade book out this month? Fuck the show, I want that book instead.
you effin book snob. BURN THE BOOKS
The TV show is worn out, old, and no fucking good anymore.
Like a certain former NFL quarterback.
you take that blasphemous shit back. I mean the second part
The show is fine imo. Its not the greatest show ever, but its fine.
You liked the show till you read the books. Then you turned into a grump. I get it though. The tides have changed. It is now cool to hate the show again

The show still pulls some good ratings. Not what it used to be, but it was alright this season.
I really did not like the finale. All this build up for Sasha to sacrifice herself. It felt like it was too focused on that. It was just plain and predictable. Hopefully next season is better.
It is almost time to slosh through the crap that is Fear the Walking Dead. This show needs to pick up the pace or add some more suspenceful moment. Eh...
A bit of a letdown considering it was episode 100, I agree - it seems they put more effort into the 2-hour Talking Dead afterwards lol.
The S8 premiere wasn't too bad, I really, really, really, really, really like the new ruthless Rick Grimes. We've seen parts of this side of him before, but he's full blown soldier survival mode now with everybody he doesn't know being an enemy.
You had to enjoy the group taking out all the lookouts and what not, and for them to straight up roll into the sanctuary, open fire and set off explosions - damn! So really though, if they randomly started firing at the ~5 leaders there during the countdown, how in the world did they miss all of em?
Oh and there were 2 burials shown...one for Sasha...who else did I miss die in the S7 finale?

I took that as glen and abraham and getting revenge
I watch Walking Dead but on fast forward since like season 5-6, anytime they stop and begin this mumble jumble life sux/there's hope talk i hit fast forward, so usually the episode ends for me in 20 mins or so.

Ehhhh... not sure how I feel about this last episode. That 2 car scene was straight Syfy channel approved.

i actually liked this episode of walking dead more than the last one.
Negan is back next week. He makes the show right now. Makes it 10x more interesting and funny

Overall I think it was a good episode.
Shadowy crossbow figure Rosita runs in to; Daryl or Dwight?
I say Dwight.
